Do not want to turn 30 at nearly 30 stone!!!

I have been a member of Slimming World on and off since I was about 18! I am now 29 and I am going to be 30 in June next year 2014! I do not want to still be so overweight when I am 30.

I am the biggest I have ever been at the moment and decided that it was time I went back to Slimming World, I got weighed this morning in a new group and I cant believe that my BMI is 53

I have been considering having a 30th birthday party but I would only have one if I was able to lose weight. I want to have a Masquerade Ball, I think it would be so different and fun but if I did I would want to wear a big ball gown with a pretty mask and I don't want to have to buy one in a size 28!

Also my husband and myself have been trying for a baby now for 4 years but have been told that I need to lose weight before we can get any help due to me having PCOS. We have always wanted a big family but the older I get the more difficult that is going to be.

Reasons for losing weight:

* To have a baby :)
* To have a 30th birthday party - 40 weeks
* To be more healthy and fit

Hoping my motivation and will power remains for a long time!!

Congratulations on deciding to loose. I have a bit longer till my big birthday 6 years and 12 weeks till Im 40. I dont want to spend the whole of my 30s fat.

I have pcos too. MY Best advice for pcos is watch your carb intake. The best thing to do according to the drs is a low gi type diet. Slimming world should still work and ots a heathly way to live but watch how much pasta etc you eat although SW say you can eat it whenever etc etc carbs and pcos really dont mix often. You will find your body will loose better and crave less with those horrible waves of hunger sickness alot less if the carbs are cut down.

goodluck I know you can do it. Your party idea sounds amazing x

Thanks :)
I generally do mostly red days from the old plan which don't have any carbs unless as a healthy extra.

You've been doing so well with your weight loss so far :)
I love your goals on your signature - one of mine is to fit comfortably in an aeroplane seat next summer :)
I wanted to be slim for my new career as a teacher also but not got time now with me starting next week lol

Wow im a qualified teacher ( once upon a time) but i never got an nqt post so my degree got old . Im starting post graduate course to become one of governments new early years teachers for nurserys. So in a year hopefully ill finally be teaching i hope x x

Aeroplanes....fair rides ...and theatres are all nightmares to me...

I went to see Lion king in march and I barely fit in the seat I had to twist myself on to my side to try sit. It will not be the same for my bday as Im going to see Wicked and I will fit in the seat :) #determined.

I am a secondary maths teacher so a lot more positions than early years, good luck with your course this year :)

I love going to the theatre, went to see Evita with my husband a couple of months ago and it was definitely a squeeze - very uncomfortable throughout! looking forward to going and not being uncomfortable!

I can't wait to fit on fair rides again - was so embarrassed a couple of years ago went to go on Oblivion in Alton Towers and they said i would have to wait for a different cart with the extendable strap - i just said no thanks and got out of there as soon as i could!!
Went on holiday with all my family to Flamingo land last summer but i did not even attempt to go on any rides to avoid the humiliation when i didn't fit!!!

Im originally primary 5 to 11 but government paying graduates to meet their new eary years teaching standards. So ill be doing 0 to 5 next x

I have 3 kids and they always ask to go to places like alton towers... I had to explain I will take them when I get thinner so I can fit in the rides. Very embarassing. I will take them next summer even if they scare me x

Well done you, you sound like your half way there and determined. Wishing you lots of luck! You can do it! X

Just wanted to say loads and loads of luck - you can do it, what a fab aim to be all slinky for your amazing sounding 30th birthday plans! :D I slimmed down for my 30th and it was such an amazing thing to do, and I still love looking back at the pictures as I felt a million dollars! All the best with it xxx

I'm sure you will do just fine. Whenever times get tough you can imagine yourself in that beautiful dress and it will motivate you. You will feel so good and healthy.

Thanks for your comments :)

I was looking today on google images at the most stunning dresses and saved a few to my phone so that if I get a bit fed up can look at them :)
Might stick one in the fridge and cupboards too :)

Done well so far today had porridge (HEb) and fruit with yogurt - so full up now!

Hello!!

I am here for the ride if u will take me?!

I'm 30 in January but currently 34 weeks preg! Once the baby is out (fingers crossed nice an easily) I am going to be full on SW until my 30th!
Up until this time last year I had lost 6 stone then lost sight of everything, gained 2 stone...then found out I was preg and the eating for 2 took over :-(

I've got a wardrobe full of lovely clothes for a slimmer me and hope I can pick my dress for my 30th out of there... Love the idea of your 30th party! I would throw a party myself but would be too worried not enough people would show up! Plus with a newish baby would I even have time?! :-/

Good luck - I will pop in every day so u best be good!! Lol x

Sw is actually a really healthy way to eat during pregnancy too ( just a thought for u) far easier to get used to cooking delious receipes for yourself pre having a baby believe me first 6 mths where life is about constant feeds and being shattered is not a good time to start dieting x

I know but that kinda food is just not what I want all the time and I find it a lot more expensive!

I'm still having SW meals in the main it's just the extras like ice cream and crisps (to name but a few!) my head wouldn't b in it if I tried to start now and could lead to me thinking I can't follow it anymore so not rejoining group till after. I appreciate it is going to be hard for me... But I feel up to the challenge lol x

Good luck with the end of your pregnancy and birth

I really hope I am able to buy a nice dress!!!

I've been alright these first three days but could have been better, had a sandwich today on white bread

I'm nervous that I don't have enough people to invite too, but hopefully can make some friends in new job :)

First weigh in should be Sat but I'm away at a wedding tomorrow night (fri) so won't get back for class. So I am going to get weighed tomorrow, a day early :$

Have been really good today:-
Breakfast - fruit n fibre with milk (HEa & HEb)
Lunch - salad with bacon, chicken, mushroom, peppers and egg

Dinner - jacket potato with homemade curry

Could have been better through the week though- had too many syns and not counted properly

That salad looks lovely!

I love your determination, if you ever have an off day just imagine that slim girl inside of you fighting to get out :)

Good luck for your weigh in I'm sure the scales will be good to you.
