Im sooo excited about getting started!

I start Slimming World tomorrow, and I cannot wait. I came back from my holiday in Turkey feeling rather depressed, my weight got in the way of enjoying my holiday, covered up in a swimming dress, surrounded by little bikinis....... now I am not in any instance thinking that by this time next year I will win bikini body of the year, but id like to feel comfortable, not getting tan lines from big fat straps!! :eek:

So here I am....I have been to slimming world several times over the last few years and I've done well but never stuck to it. I know my slimming world consultant really well, id consider her a friend, and she has never pressured me into coming to group (sometimes wish she would) but im determined not to let her down, and im aiming for woman of the year!....well theres no point in aiming low is there?

I am a Nurse and a Health Visitor, I offer Nutritional Advice yet im as big as I am! I feel like a fraud and want to lose at least 4 stone. and be a size 12. I want to buy Top Shop Jeans!!

I have a 9 year old little madam, who knows how to push my buttons, but shes my world, and I want to be a good role model for her

I'd love people to follow my blog, and become my friends as I feel I will need all the support I can get :)

I will be writing my Diary up here, as I think its easier for me to stick to with it all written down.

I cant promise to be inspiring for anyone, but maybe a little entertaining on occasions :p
 
Awwww good luck!! I'm subscribing too!!! The beginning is the hardest.. Knuckle down and it will all start to drop off.. I promise!
I'm a nurse too.. Paediatrics .. I work in a hdu.. The chocolate and biscuits we get given is crazy...n it can be so hard to resist! I started my wt loss jan this year, my uniform was getting ridiculous... Sooooo tight! It is very baggy on me now.. 25lb lighter n my size 14 jeans are getting rather loose.. Yay!
You're absolutely right about being a role model, not just for you're professional role but as a mother! All the best hun... U can totally do this!!!

Just had my first Weigh In....Officially the heaviest I've ever been, but quite possibly the most determined I've ever been!!

I'm not shy about it (maybe i should be) I'm 16st 8lb...but not for long..I'm setting small targets for myself, and will reward myself with something small when I reach them...

Some may be achievable some may not but I have to set them

Mini goals (in no particular order)
Under 16stone
Comfortable size 20 jeans
1 stone off
Size 18 by Christmas
Club 10
20lb off by Christmas.

More to follow :) wish me luck peeps, I will update later with my food Diary for the day xx
 
You're doing great! Those mini-goals will get you going. The feeling of satisfaction when you accomplish one will keep you motivated to move forward and take more steps closer to your goal. Good luck again, Kath! xx

Here to subscribe, good luck Kathleen I started of a little heavier than you and although I've taken a while I've lost 3 stone so far still a way to go and I've lost the plot a bit recently but determined to get back on track like you say the more support you have the easier I think, like how you have done some mini goals for yourself... good idea (might try that myself)

Today's food

Breakfast - banana, Mullerlight
Lunch - Mug Shot pasta sachet, sugar free jelly and an Apple
Snack - whole meal pitta. houmus
Dinner - Quorn Swedish Balls with Pasta and homemade sauce with loads of veg. followed by 2 clementines

......still yet to have dinner but I love Quorn so I know it will be lush....

It's looking like a Green Day...

Its been good :) Im enjoying it, I need to stock up on some fruit, I had a craving for sugar today and had a jelly, but I don't think that will suffice for too many days, and im worried I will eat chocolate if I don't get some snacky bits in.

Feeling good though, and I went to the Gym tonight too,.....BODY MAGIC :D
 
Well there is some chocolate you can get that is pretty low in syns. Curly Wurlys only have 6 syns and apparently are great when frozen as they last for ages! I haven't had one yet whilst on SW but I think I'll give myself one as a treat tomorrow if I manage a loss! x
 
Day two of my Slimming World Journey, Day one of my new job........

New manager bought a lemon drizzle sponge cake to welcome me to the team...so so lovely of her, she didn't know I was doing SW obviously, I had a small slice and will syn it as 4 syns,....maybe 5...maybe 6....thoughts??

Breakfast was NOTHING! I was so nervous of my first day that I couldn't eat, so smothered my face in that piece of cake at about 11 o'clock as I was ravenous.

Lunch was left overs from dinner last night - pasta and not so meaty meat balls....was very nice :)

Dinner was Linda McCartney Red Onion and Rosemary Sausages (FREE) Mash and Green Beans - Hubby and family had normal sausages

Oh im not vegetarian by the way, just coincidental that i've had no meat for 2 days lol I do like vegi products and the fact that some of them are syn free makes them all nicer.

Not sure about an evening Snack this evening....I have my A & B choices left (Don't be jealous)

Feeling good about the start of the week, long may it continue ....

Oh my parents have decided to have a Chinese Meal Evening for their Anniversary which im invited to..what the hell can I eat??
