Last 7lbs!!!

Hi all
I started a diary on here but it's been ages since I updated it - oooops! I love love love this site so I'm here for help!!
I've got 7lbs to target and I'm struggling so bad!! My motivation hasn't dropped (in fact I rejoined the gym on Friday and have been very day since) but I'm finding I'm not losing very much.
I planned to be good over the Christmas period but it was my birthday last week and since then, I just can't seem to get prepared and planned food wise.
It's weigh in on Thursday and I'm hoping that someone somewhere might have a few tips to help over the next two days so that I don't have a huge gain (or a gain at all in fact)

I love success express for a bit of a boost. Its so easy to do, just be extra careful with your syns and remember to take the highest syn value from the 3 given. And you can have 2 of your Hex A and Bs. Soup makes a great SS meal on success express with a small roll on the side (hexb)

If you go through your food list look for speed foods, they should help too and just keep your water intake up.

Dear diary,
Well what a week I've had- trying to get back on track was really difficult but I think I've done it as best as I could of given all the occasions and festivities this week!!
So I was at a wedding and honestly it was so nice to receive such nice comments from people I haven't seem in a while. And for the first time since I was 16/17, I didn't feel like 'the fat one'. In fact, I'd go as far to say that's it's the first time I've felt good about myself and not worried that people are judging me!
So Christmas is nearly upon us and I've decided that I'm going to allow myself some 'real' cheese! By this I mean not a babybel or a laughing cow triangle - ill portion it though so I don't go overboard!! Dinner should be fine, lots of veg and I may even fry light my potatoes (shines halo)
I've been back to the gym today and ran for 40 minutes on the treadmill- I can't believe it! I remember when I couldn't run for 40 seconds and I went straight into the changing rooms and cried afterwards thinking I'd never be able to go to the gym again, but I did and slowly I'm getting there!
I'm going to go and weigh in at a class tomorrow morning because I can't make my class on Friday due to it changing from a Thursday! I know it's a bit weird travelling 17 miles to go and weigh in on Christmas Eve but this is my journey and it's a choice I've made for life so I'm going!
I'm hoping to have 1.5lbs off this week so give me my 5 stone mark which would be the best Christmas present to myself but if I don't make it then I'll definitely do it the week after and enter 2014 5 stone lighter. But regardless, I'm within my BMI with several pounds to spare so I'm chuffed!
Sorry for rambling diary, I just feel I've neglected you over the last few weeks!!
 
Dear diary-
Well I couldn't go to the class as planned this morning so I weighed in at home! I know exactly what my scales are in comparison to the ones at slimming world because I hop on them every week before class!
I'm pleased to report a loss of half a pound!! Not bad considering I've been off work and there's chocolates, cheese and alcohol all over the house!! I had resisted though...... Until now!!
I'm giving myself tonight and tomorrow off (in a roundabout kind of way) Tonight I'm having a Chinese at my friends- OH is working a night so I'm staying at a friends! I'm going to have a few drinks too!! Well deserved though I feel!
Tomorrow, my Christmas dinner will be very low in syns ..... Only to allow for the cheese and drinks I'd like to have!
I've had to take a holiday this week at class so I've got plenty of time to handle anything I've gained! Lots of superfree will be coming my way!!

I'll leave you with one last thought..... It's Christmas time, I'd like a drop or two of wine, I do love my cheese, so I'll have a little please, I've come so far and I'll never go back, this Christmas I'll wear a slinky dress and not some sack. so as January approaches, it's fair to say, I'll do Christmas and I'll do it my way! A bit of what I fancy for a day or two, and back on track as soon as it's due. 2014 is my target year, I'm determined and focused, I have no fear!!

Well well well!! I must apologise for not updating! I admit it, I felt too ashamed! Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and Boxing Day really are what I would call a total write off!!! S
So I drew a line and learned

I'd say today is the first day I haven't felt sluggish, lethargic and bloated and I'm back on it like a car bonnet!!
Today I've had gammon, lots of salad and slimming world chips, a wholemeal roll (HEXB) Mayo (1 syn) skips (4 syns)
I'm stuffed at the mo so can't even think about what I may have later. It's obviously an extra easy day and I still have my HEXA to play with!!

Been to the gym and done 45 minutes cardio and some weights! Wanted to have a swim/steam too but forgot my towel for shower after! Duh!

I'm on nights tomorrow so will have to plan something filling for before I go in and will have the usual weetabix/fruit on my break!!

Feeling pretty good about weigh in on Thursday now! What a difference a couple of days back on track and back to basics can make!!!
 
Dear diary-
I haven't updated for a couple of days- apologies again!
This time I am pleased to report that I've been super good- salads, jacket potato with spag Bol!! I'm on fire!!
Been on nights so my food was weetabix during my break. Keeps me full and quite refreshing at 4am!!
Tonight I will probably have a few drinks. We haven't decided exactly what to do this eve for new year with us being busy working so not making plans but I think it'll end up being a quiet one!
Toasting in a new year- new me, will get to target!!! Exciting times!!
 
Happy new year diary!!
Well last nights celebrations were somewhat quiet. Nice night in with the OH. We've decided that we've got to that age where we just can't be bothered going out anymore and are far more content with a couple of drinks in and relaxing!! I suppose it comes from us both having quite stressful jobs with long hours/shift work.
So now the new year is here and we go on holiday in less than 4 weeks!!
I'd love to shift this last 7 or so lbs before then!!
Having a 'fry up' this afternoon- I'll count my daily syns on that because OH will fry the egg and I'll have a Richmond sausage and white bread!
Weigh in tomorrow and I'm looking forward to getting back to class. It's amazing how missing a week can throw you!
 
Weigh in day!!

Weighed in this morning and lost 0.5lb!! Pretty good for a post Christmas weigh in I think!!

Determined to get a couple of pounds off this week! Joined the new year January challenge thread and set myself a rather optimistic goal of 7lbs!! 6.5 lb to go! I mean I could have put a more realistic 3 or 4 lb to aim for but my theory is that I'd rather keep striving to goal and I want to do it before my holiday at the end of the month!!

Got shopping in after class and got things to make for the week! I'll probably do a sausage casserole, chicken and cous cous, salads etc!!

Nothing much planned this week so I have no reason not to have a good loss!! Start the new year off as I mean to go on!!
 
Day 1 of being 'supergood'

Extra easy day!

Hi-fi light bar - had before the gym, but of a grab and go - 3 syns

Jacket potato - free
Tuna - free
Salad - superfree
2 tbl spoons light mayo (measured out!!!) 4 syns
30g cheese (weighed out!!!!) HEXA
1 tbl sp fat free thousand island dressing (1.5 syns)

Toblerone miniature hero - 2 syns.

A few more syns than I'd have liked at this stage but it was yummy so I'll have a syn free meal/snack later. Still a HEXB to have!! Boom!!

You could count your hi-fi light bar as your hexb and save some syns .x.
 
and well done on measuring everything out, cheese I can manage if I really want to but I have never measured mayo haha
 
Haha- I wouldn't normally measure out Mayo but I got these fab little plastic measuring spoons in a Christmas cracker so gave it a go!! I was surprised at the difference to be honest!!

I was thinking about that with the hi-fi bar, it's definitely an option! Great minds think alike!! I feel like I'm cheating myself though when I can have a couple of pieces of bread instead!! Hehe!
Bread and cheese are my weaknesses!!
 
I think I might try measuring my mayo for a bit, see the difference. I really need to start measuring my hex as too.

I don't often have bread, I personally find my weightloss isnt as good when I do, possibly because it means im eating sandwiches or beans on toast, where if I use it for weetabix or alpen bars I always have fruit with it, so Im eating more SF/SS rather than more free food.

cheese and crisps are my weakness. I would include wine, but I just cant bring myself to be negative towards it haha .x.x.
 
Oh don't get me started on crisps!! Crisps and dips- specifically kettle chips and guacamole are another weakness of mine! It used to come hand in hand with wine but I can't drink wine anymore!!

I can't handle hangovers... I used to polish off a bottle or even two of wine and be fine the next day. Now I can't even sniff the stuff without having a blinding headache and being fit for nothing for not just one day but generally about 2/3 days!! Where did my youth and stamina go?? Hehe!

Now it's Malibu or amaretto as my tipple which is yum but I drink it like its water!! Which reminds me, I really must up my water intake!!!
 
We could be the same person! haha I proved the other day I too can no longer drink as much wine and be ok the next day instead I was a hungover hot mess for NYE haha

I still enjoy a glass of red in the house every now and then, but I buy a cheaper bottle and mix it with room temp diet coke. It doesnt really taint the flavour and makes it last much longer so you dont have as high syn intake or alcohol intake so usually hangover free.

My other vice rum, white or dark. I could drink enough to make a sailor blush haha.x.x.
 
I'm loving the red wine idea!!! I'm going to try it (although not this week because I'm being super good)
We're going on holiday in a few weeks so I've really got every reason to stick to plan!!
How did you get on over the Christmas and new year period??
 
Honestly the red wine and coke trick is a life saver, Ive got one now haha.

My christmas was so long! we had, 1 the weekend before when we have family visiting and thats when all the damage is done. It doesnt help that I had 2 poorly kids. Put on 2lb but its all straight back off this week (despite drinking ALL of the wine in the pub on tuesday night!) I wasnt 100% on plan so I was ecstatic with that.

Been off mostly off plan today but straight back on it tomorrow, mostly because I feel like crap eating so much junk food! .x.x.
 
2lbs isn't bad at all considering! There were a couple of people I know that put on half a stone or so. Hope the kids are better now!

With me managing a half a pound loss and the vast majority at class putting on I'm striving this week to get slimmer of the week!! Haha!
It's impossible for me normally because I only have little losses!!

Found myself hungry but not hungry enough for a proper meal so I've just had a wholemeal roll (HEXB) with bacon and tomatoes on! Massive bowl of strawberries, banana and apple topped with a muller light Greek toffee desert (gutted that it's 0.5 syns) Still, I'm within my syn allowance and day one of being 'supergood' is complete! (As long as I don't go near the Cadbury heroes that have just appeared in the house)
