Well.... hello everyone (again for those of you who may remember me from previous attempts)

So it's 2014 and I am here again but with a little more determination and more support from people around me.
So last year I was on and off slimming world all year and Tuesdays weigh in showed that I was basically back where I started this time last year minus about 6lbs... no excuses, just that I didn't follow the plan.
In the last 2 months I have been going to the gym 3-5 days a week but not eating healthy really so its been pretty pointless but I have enjoyed going so I am going to continue that when the gym re-opens on Monday.

It's day 2 of this attempt and 2 days at 100% and I am sticking to good old red and green.

Day 1: RED
Scrambled egg with cheese with 2 small wholemeal toast (1 hex B, 1 hex A)
Didn't have lunch- was out food shopping
Chicken and veg casserole from SW recipe book with carrot and swede mash
2 shape yoghurts, Satsuma, 6 strawberries and 3 slices of ham
packet of wotsits
packet of French fries
milk in tea (1 x hex A)

Day 2: RED
2 shape yoghurts and 2 Weetabix with semi skimmed milk (1 hex A and 1 hex B)
egg, bacon, tinned tomatoes, mushrooms and 2 small wholemeal toast (1 hex B)
roast chicken, roast swede and carrot, broccoli and cauliflower
milk in tea (1 hex A)
packet of wotsits

I look forward to chatting to you all and hope everyone had a lovely Christmas and new year xx

thanks hunny.

Glad to say I've completed day 2 and been 100%.... here's to tomorrow. Got leftovers from tea ready to take with me for lunch so more prepared than usual :)

It feels great when you've been100%. I've been missing around too but I'm back on it now. I don't feel so great when I'm off plan, my body doesn't like it at all. So why I do it I don't know lol.

Hi everyone,
Been 100% since I started on Tuesday and I feel great about it. When I have a time where I just feel like giving up then I just need to remember this feeling.
OH made a pea and mint soup last night so I took that for lunch today, it was delicious!
Hope everyone is having a good week :)

Yesterdays food: RED day
Breakfast: 2 shape yoghurts, a Satsuma and an apple
Lunch: chicken, broccoli and cauliflower, 2 slices of whole meal bread (2x hex B)
Tea: SW recipe: beef casserole, broccoli, cauliflower and carrot and swede mash
Snacks: 2 apples, pineapple, 1 orange, 2 packets of quavers
Hex A used in coffee and 2 cheese strings

Todays food: Green day
Breakfast: plum, pomegranate, orange and pineapple
Lunch: SW recipe minted pea soup and 2 wholemeal toast (2 hex B)
Tea: pasta, peppers, onion, celery, courgette, mushroom in a weight watchers tomato sauce (1syn) cheese (1 hex A)
Snacks: quavers, small fudge, plum, apple
Hex A used in coffee

I'm going to stick with red and green days, I find them so much easier than EE which I know sounds ridiculous but I think EE gives me a little bit too much freedom- every time I switch to EE I end up giving up!? Looking forward to weigh in day on Tuesday and renewing my gym membership when it reopens on Monday :)

I prefer sticking to red and green days too. I feel more in control that way. EE just doesn't work for me either.

I'm glad its not just me, at first I thought I must have been doing it wrong. I don't think carbs suit me very well to be honest- I get really bloated on a green day and I only ad pasta at tea time- no potatoes, rice or pasta for any other meal.
Do you prefer red or green? x

another red day today although its weekend and I never have a meal routine at the weekend, I've hardly eaten anything so far.
Breakfast: Satsuma and a shape yoghurt
Lunch: 2 eggs on 2 small wholemeal toast (hex B)

For tea I will be having Pork chops with spinach, radish, grated carrot, tomatoes, cucumber, celery, spring onion and beetroot.

No it's not just you, I bet quite a few people prefer red or green days.

I usually do green as I don't eat a lot of meat - only chicken & fish. I can't stomach any other.

I'm the same at the weekends. I'm not disciplined with food at all & it's easy for me to fall into my old habits but I'm going shopping tomorrow to stock up on fruit etc to snack on ready to get back on plan on Monday x

I still haven't eaten tea yet- I just have no sense of time at weekends. When I'm at work I have my breakfast at about 8:30am then my lunch between 12 and 1pm. at the weekend I'm just not hungry in the mornings and then don't have lunch until about 2pm. Need to sort that out really!
Just got pork cooking with fried red cabbage and a big salad. I've got to go shopping tomorrow to buy the kids stuff for packed lunches so will top up on fruit and veg- its soon goes

I'm really trying this time and have a few friends who are also wanting to lose weight so we encourage each other, there are 3 of us who go to the gym together 3-5 days a week and that really keeps me motivated as I don't want to let them down, I drive them there and although they could walk there I would feel terrible with these dark cold nights.
It's official weigh in tomorrow... feeling nervous but the scales were showing 8lb loss this morning so here's hoping I don't have a sudden weight gain over night!
Thanks for subscribing x

Well another day done!
Red day today and again no food routine!
Breakfast/Lunch: 2 eggs on 2 small wholemeal toast
Tea: steak, roasted carrot and swede, fried mushrooms and onions
Snacks: packet of walkers noughts and crosses crisps- 4.5 syns
hex a: milk in tea/coffee

that's all I have eaten today but will have some fruit and yoghurt later on. Me and OH have decided to have weigh in day on Mondays hoping it will encourage us to eat a bit better over the weekends so its weigh in day tomorrow instead of Tuesday. Does anyone else feel massive the day before weigh in... I feel like I've put on at least 7lbs! x

Hiya :) popping in to subscribe, I do recognise your username from the last couple of years :) I lost 4 stone between Nov 2011 and Nov 2012 and then put on nearly a stone and a half in 2013 so back on it to get back to lowest weight and hopefully even surpass that and get to target FINALLY.

Good luck for WI tomorrow :)
