Extra Easy: New Year, New diet, New Me!

Hi all. I joined SW last Monday, was horrified with my starting weight and so it has motivated me to start the diet well! I have my first weigh-in tomorrow and am hoping to see good results. I was a complete chocolate addict and have decided to not have any this week at all! Although I have bought myself Cadbury's Instants and also Chocolate Snack a Jacks in order to wean myself off the real thing. Any tips of advice for coping with the sugar cravings will be great! I lost about 6 stones 8 years ago and over the past few years have put it all back on and more, so I need to do this!
Are there any other newbies out there?
:)

Hi, welcome!

I have a very sweet tooth. I save syns for night time and I have one or two fun size dairy milk's (4 syns each) with a cup of tea, I look forward to it so much!

Mullerlights are also good for sweet lovers, I personally like the orange with chocolate sprinkles and the banana and custard one - both free.

Good luck for WI tomorrow!

Hey, I started last Monday too. I weighed on my home scales and was hoping to get back to my group on Saturday, a poorly hubby meant that I didn't make it! I've still followed the plan to the letter all week and will rejoin group this coming Saturday!

I have 2st 8lbs to lose to get me to my 10st target - looking forward to seeing what the scales say in the morning! I've been making the syn-free lemon curd and breaking up a couple of meringue nests in it - sooo sweet!

Good luck with the plan, let us know how you get on tomorrow!!

I found it on here, it's delicious!

I've tried to attach the screenshot I took, never attached anything on here before so hope it works!

I joined SW online yesterday. I am desperate for this to work. I love chocolate and plan to have a mini bag of chocolate buttons every evening with a pink n white hopefully that will keep my sweet tooth happy

Brill, thank you :) where do you buy fat free fromage frais? And what section of the supermarket? I can never find it!

I find this a nightmare to locate in the supermarket but did manage to find it last time in Sainsburys at the yoghurt section

Hi all, thanks for your advice. My weigh-in was good - lost 4lbs! It's a good start. I am going to incorporate some exercise too and hopefully I will see even better results. I have just had a chocolate snack a jack to celebrate!!

Well done!!
I lost 7lbs this week (though I had a HUGE pizza the night before to blow out and think that upped my starting weight a bit!!)

I'm going to give the syn-free rice pudding a go tonight - no idea how it will turn out!

My sweet treat for this evening was some quark (about third of a tub) mixed with a white choc options sachet (2 syns) (it comes out like cheesecake topping) with some strawberries chopped up over the top. (I wasn't expecting much from the strawberries as they're imported from thousands of miles away, but they were sweet and delicious - from Asda.

You do end up eating some weird stuff on diets don't you!!

Another fave of mine (if you have a HExB to use, is sweet french toast, topped with forest fruit and vanilla yogurt.

Whisk an egg with half a teaspoon of cinnamon and 2 tablespoons of sweetener
Dip your bread in the mix
Fry (in a pan sprayed with frylight) on each side til golden brown
Top with (defrosted) forest fruit mix (or frozen fruit of your choice)
Drizzle vanilla yog over the top and scoff!! :D

Well done on 4lbs off this week, that's brilliant!
