Using slimming world to become a yummy mummy

Hello! Iv decided to try 100% to follow sw and stick to this plan. My main motivation was my dads wife who has lost alot of weight following the plan so I know it can be done. Iv also read lots of diaries and watched plenty of videos on youtube showing meal plans/food choices and food shopping to see that you can eat well and lose weight.
Im starting at 12st and hoping to get down to 9st by the end of the year. Im doing bits of exercise here and there but nothing set in stone. I do plenty of walking with my two boys (Leo is 3 and Jamie is 1.5yrs old) I did go down to 10st 12lbs but gained back from october-march and iv not been able to stick to calorie counting as I was worrying all the time about how many calories things were and becoming too obsessed. SW seems a better option for me as I can eat and have syns for trets and extras and not feel bad about it!
Today has started well and il update later with my daily intake, and I hope to get abit of support here as Im terrible at motivating myself! Bye for now :love:
 
B: porridge oats with water and cinnamon (heb)
L:SW quiche with cheese and broccoli pasta n sauce (0.5syn for pasta packet and 2 syns for yogurt)plus lots of boiled carrots
D:rice,lots of veggies and soy sauce
Snack:Curly wurly (6 syns) Linessa low fat pineapple yogurt (2.5syns) 1 foxes blueberry mini ring (2syns to be safe, normals are 1.5)
hea is my milk for tea during the day, I doubt I had the full amount but best be safe.

So 13 syns for day 1. I went to Lidl got more bananas and mandarins plus have alot of 2.5syn Linessa fat free yogurts (lidl) £1.59 for 8 125g pots, good value and nice flavours. Im saying 2 syns for the natural yogurt in my lunch as it was sainsburys basic low fat (3% fat) natural yogurt and closest I found online was 2% fat for 5 syns for 500g for sainsburys basic yogurt. I wont worry too much as Im under syns anyway for the day. Later Im having a mug of tea with a curly wurly after I dye my hair, got a hair cut booked for wednesday with my birthday money for my mother in law. Cant wait, I think once I start thinking more positively about myself then Il stick to a healthy diet more and feed myself good foods. Iv not had dinner yet and im not too hungry so its just a small bowl of rice and veg. Iv also done about 2 hours of walking with the pushchair today which was hard work in the sunny weather!

well. I was going to be on plan 100% today but my boyfriend got me big chocolate birthday cake so yep, slimming world doesnt exist today! Im back on plan tomorow and cant wait. I dont want to think of the calories Il eat but its my birthday and one day so its ok. Im going to a Hungry horse pub on wednesday with my dad and am trying to think of something sw friendly, need to have a good look at their menu and think

thanks for the comment lol Today has been a bad day again so Im just going to start a fresh week tomorow. Saw my in laws who made dinner and dessert. Im still having a hard time choosing food for my meal out on wednesday. Its either jacket potato with beans (boring) or chicken and rice with bbq sauce. The chicken and rice wouldnt be too bad surely? Its roast chicken and plain rice so doubt the pub could add many syns to that! Might just keep syns low that day and enjoy a new meal. Im looking forwards to tomorow. My boyfirends at work 6am-6:30pm so I dont have any temptations from him! Im also gonna try to get 20-30mins exercise in tomorow, not sure what il do yet but we have a treadmill at home so I might as well make use of it!
 
busy day ahead and must fit a workout in sometime this morning. Before breakfast hopefully!

Did a 30min cardio kickbox workout from youtube.
B:toast, scrambled eggs and baked beans
S:banana, 2 oranges
L:Spag bol with cheese (6 syns)
D:Rice,veg and quorn meatballs
S:bag of popcorn (4 syns)

So a good day I think? I didnt weigh my pasta which I usually do but just put a nice amount in for myself, Im full and doubt Il be hungry til 6pmfor dinner! I dont think Iv done too badly today. I just abit worried about portions of free foods. Im scared I have too much pasta/rice/potatoes :rolleyes: however I have seen some slimming world people who pile their plate with the stuff and still lose so it must be ok. Im full so thats the main thing, no more snacking today!

stuck to plan yesterday and didnt snack anymore then id planned to. Todays meal plan is
porridge with cinnamon and an apple
chicken,pasta,veg soup
chilli and wedges with lots of veg in the chilli!
syns are going to be - Jelly -1.5syns Chocolate orange yogurt 1syn Hoops and crosses crisps 4 syns.
Only 6.5syns so if I want to add any syns to my meals I can, Doubt I will but its there just in case! Also want to do a little exercise so thats before breakfast
 
having a munchy day today. Iv had my porridge and an apple. 1 mandarin and a sachet of sf jelly as a snack, then chicken,veg pasta soup with a yogurt. That seems so much to me for 1pm! I have done a 30min cardio workout though and feel full so Il be fine til dinner. Might have another mandarin later with a cuppa around 4pm then dinner 7pm and a packet of crisps. Might pop a mugshot in for 1syn if Im hungry at 4pm for a more filling snack. I might do another bit of exercise but my back hurts after sleeping funny 2 nights ago so Im not wanting to push it too much.
Did a 5 mile Leslie Sansone walk at home dvd and it was a good aerobic workout for 60mins

off to cook my dinner in a bit. Wedges with veg chilli for me and some crisps later. Had another mandarin to add to my list today. Backs abit better, hoping I sleep ok tonight and its better tomorow. Off to the Hungry Horse pub to see my dad and his wife for my late birthday meal. Cant wait. Im pretty sure Il have the roast chicken with lemon and parsley rice and salad. Cant be too bad surely!?
 
just had a hot choc and adding 4 syns for that and some gravy mix for the chilli for dinner. 10.5syns for the day and Im done. Night and Im hoping for a good tomorow too!
 
Thanks for the comment. Im hoping writing it all down and having feedback helps me stay on SW and keep focused til I reach goal. Iv had a snacky day -1 apple 3 manadarins, jelly and a fat free yogurt as well as the meals but I did do 90mins of exercise and eat lots of veg with meals today so its fine really.

Iv just got back from my meal. Had the chicken with rice and salad. It was nice but I could taste the grease/oil in the rice so not sure if it was oil or butter and there was bbq sauce. Im saying 3syns for the sauce and worst it could be is 13syns but its not too bad, monday I had 10 syns,yesterday 11.5syns so its fine really. Im stuffed so think Im just adding 1 syn for a frozen mint yogurt later. Dinner...mmm maybe just rice and veggies with soy sauce and some stock. The chicken was so nice from Hungry Horse, only problem was the electrics went so we had to wait about half hour before we could go in and actually order! OH said he could smell the electrical burn but not me lol
I walked for about 1.5hours this morning with the pushchair so that was abit of exercise. Talked to my step mum and she's lost 1.5st since re joining sw in january. Id love to lose that much in that time! She doesnt exercise as she has bad knees but even so its a great loss. Im getting OH to hid my scales til monday so I cant weigh in before then!

exercise - 1.5 hours walk with pushchair. Maybe covered 3 miles so went quite slow and shopped!
Think that was a good day!
Lets just say total syns were 14syns. If I was calorie counting I would have got close to my goal limit and then said "screw it, I only have 50calories left, im going to eat some chocolate!" No idea how that works but I was a terrible eater and would eat for no reason! But I know my meals were good for a family meal so thats the main thing. Tomorow Im making fanta chicken with rice and broccoli/cauliflower/carrots for dinner.
Having a bad day with my 3 yr old. Hes been so stropy lately so Iv put him in bed next to his dad (OH is off work til wednesday and Leo sleeps with us) Hes driving me mad today, he wasted all his food when we saw my family too so he's not been a good boy today. That would have driven me to comfort food bu nope. Il have my yogurt and soup and a nice cuppa tea instead!
 
Aww hunni I feel for you with your 3yr old son.

I've got two girls 5 and 3 in June. Getting the strops from both of them this week. Very exhausting and emotionally draining so totally emphasis with you.

Like you I'd emotionally eat and like you this time around I'm not letting them get to me.

il return the pat on the back lol. I couldnt sleep so had a sandwich and some chocolate and crisps. So 1 day went back. Im hoping if im good the rest of the week il have a loss still

Snacks - 2 banana, 2 satsuma's 1 cereal bar (5 syns) and a curly wurly (6 syns) 3 mikado sticks
Total syns 14 :p

after 2 days of doing ok then being given easter treats... (do people know when youre trying to be healthy so they push bad stuff onto you?) Im still 12st so Im starting day 1 today and not weighing til next friday and sticking to it. Gary (boyfriend) is going to be forced to hide the scales from me! So far today Iv had 2 satsumas and run round like a silly person cleaning and washing clothes. Lunch/breakfast will be a slimming world fry up! Eggs,beans and quorn sausages with 2 toast (2 syns due to bigger slices) Im going to be deep cleaner the upstairs bathroom and downstairs loo and kitchen later so calories burned! Im also positive I dont want to see another easter egg til next year! No more treats are around or being offered so I have no temptation
