Hi I'm Jen, I'm a stay at home Mum with 2 children, ages 4 and 18months. I've always been overweight and have tried numerous diets over the years with varied success but then I fall off the wagon and it all goes back on! My problem is I just like food! I wouldn't say I have a particular weak spot for anything ... just everything! Although, I do find that since having the kids its very easy to grab the biscuits or crisps (or both! :rolleyes:) when I'm feeling peckish and feel I just don't have the time to actually think about food and these are sitting ready prepared in the cupboard.

So I've decided I want to do something about my weight, currently I don't have a specific goal in mind, my BMI is high and I obviously want to get a bit healthier for myself and my kids but mainly at the moment my aim is to feel a bit better about myself. We go on holiday in 6 weeks to Gran Canaria so this is what I'm currently working towards. I've done Slimming World before years and years ago and had my most successful weight loss whilst on this as opposed to other diets and I rejoined once I had my son and got the up to date info then (3yrs ago) but I'm going to try and do it from home this time as I don't feel I really have time to go to the meetings. However I do feel I will do better if I have the support of fellow slimming worlders to get ideas from and point out where I'm going wrong - hello new forum buddies! So in my first step I am going to start a food diary, I will also try my best to photograph my meals to post. I have been on plan since Saturday so 3 days to go until my first weigh in!

yay!!! 4lbs lost this week, so happy! Feeling motivated now to keep at it, so far I'm really enjoying it too and have made some lovely recipes from the magazines. 5weeks to go until my holiday, how much can I loose and how good can I feel by then? xx
 
Weighed in yesterday morning and was a little disappointed, only lost 1lb this week. I had hoped the beginning of the diet momentum might of lasted for a bit longer. Looking back I think that maybe I wasn't having enough superfree, I wasn't generally naughty and thought I'd been pretty good and at least I didn't put anything on but I must try harder next week to increase my superfrees. Also I think perhaps I haven't been drinking enough fluids so need to keep an eye on that also this week

Weighed in this week at 2 lb loss which I was pretty chuffed about since I had a sneaky peek on Wednesday and hadn't lost anything. Those last few days of the week must have made a big difference! So far this week however I've not been too good and have had 3 cornetto style icecreams already this week so not looking forward to weigh in this week! xx

Just weighed in and i'm feeling chuffed chuffed chuffed! I've lost 4lbs this week!! i'm amazed i've been really naughty and been munching on lots of things i shouldn't but it has been my time of the month so just shows how much that has effected my weight loss and i probably should have lost more last week but must have been retaining water.

Just two weeks until my holiday, can't wait

Well It's been 8 months since I last posted and guess what I managed to lose a whole stone before we went on holiday but guess what I'm now back to where I started more or less! Today I started again! I'm going to keep in check this time my first target is to get to a comfortable size 16. I've started a jazzercise class too and will be going at least twice a week so hopefully with so exercise too things will come good this time. Weight this morning 15st 12.2lb

Jazzercise.... Went to one of those classes about 10 yrs ago, was fun:D
Not seen one recently or where I'm living now though:(
