Hi folks, i have been browsing the forum for a few day's and i'm so impressed and inspired by you all.
I'm joining SW tomorrow. I'm nervous about meeting new people and being "the Big one" of the group. There seems to be a lot of info to get my head around but i'm hoping to throw myself into it with passion and determination.
I have had weight issues and been yoyo dieting since about ten years old when i put the "puppy fat" on. I am guessing i have around five stone to lose which has crept on since i stopped nicotine replacement therapy 5 years ago. I actually stopped smoking ten years ago but became addicted to the nicotine gum.
I would say i eat when i'm stressed. We buried my Dad last week after his battle with oral cancer and Mum has non hodgkins lymphoma and has been going through a lot of chemo these past few months. With this added stress i can feel myself getting heavier so i really need to get a grip NOW!!!!
Thankyou in advance for reading the start of my journey and i wish you all luck on yours xxx :)

Well i bit the bullet and weighed myself, didn't want to be in for nasty shock tomorrow and it send me into an eating or drinking frenzy.
I guessed i was about 15st 7lb.......turns out i'm 16st 11lbs - Devastated :-(
It hasn't knocked my determination tho !!!

Well......today is the day. Meeting is at 17.30
I'm not looking frwd to it due to a previous experience at sw many moons ago. Funny isn't it how one person can ruin it for you but hopefully i won't let that again.......and brrrrreeeaaattthhhhh

It went good thanks. The group are all lovely and my consultant is just fab. Had my head stuck in books ever since trying to get round all this free food (just does't seem right lol) Thankyou for asking :) xx

Good morning all. hope you have a happy friday and a brilliant weekend.

I think i'm doing ok with the plan but need to make adjustments as i get more used to it. I'm a picker rather than a sit down to a main meal eater but i may be missing out on my superfree foods. I work nights and that makes things a bit tricky. Hopefully on my days off i will find some kind of routine.
Now.....it's nearly weekend and i'm going:cool: out on watching a Pink Floyd cover band....
I will have to be careful with the alcohol, i'm usually a huzzler:party0036:
Take care peeps xx

4lb down :))))))))

3 days to weigh in. I think i have done ok so far this week. I have eaten a lot more than last week albeit free and superfree on EE and i have managed my syns and HEs better now that i am getting my head round the plan. So because i have been eating lots i do feel rather guilty and still feel that it is wrong (something i need to work on!)
I feel good, i have more energy and not requiring as much sleep to feel refreshed. Oh.....and water!!! Been drinking more of that (not great when u have an over active bladder!)
I have discovered slimming world chips and cauliflower rice. Loved the rice, i made a chinese style chicken fried rice with it and it was a great comfort food but i did have belly ache during the night.
I have been drinking black coffee, saving my milk for my weetabix. I have been mostly saving my syns for wine and hi life bars.
My favourite buy of the week is laughing cow blue cheese light which satisfies my cheese addiction, if i don't use my milk on weetabix i will snack on these with crispbreads from Asda which are 1 and 1/2 syns.
I don't feel i have lost as yet this week and it's bank holiday tomorrow which entails alcohol :-/ So watch this space wed/thurs to see my weigh in result.
Good luck everyone xx

Oh Nooooooo....too much alcohol while enjoying bank holiday monday. In need of comfort food so a green day it is......

Make some SW chips, top with hex-A of cheese and beans!!
Proper hang over food!!

Plus if u have yr hex b u could grab some wholemeal bread :)

Yummy!!!

Perfect by itself on a green day but u could have fruit after to make it 'healthier' :)

Good luck xx

Oh Cai that sounds yummy, i love cheese and beans. Might even make some caulifower fried rice :)
Hope ur having a good day :) xx

2lb off :)))))))
1 more makes half a stone :) x x
I was so nervous about going to WI that i almost chickened out and thought i would give myself another week to redeem myself. But.....i know from past experience if i hadn't gone to weigh in and face my fears i would end up on the slippery slope again and wouldn't have gone next week at all because i would have known that i had put weight on.

So here i am....rejuvenated :) and going in for a 3lb loss this wk!!!

Finally feeling kinda normal again. Just finished 5- 12 hr nights in the last 7 days, had a few hrs kip yesterday then had my 3 yr old grandson overnight which was utter pleasure :) But.....been having lots of stomach pains :-(
I've stayed on plan but my portions have been a lot less than usual and struggling to get my HEs in. Been feeling a bit sicky and had lots of bowel trouble. I don't know if that has been a bug or the shear volume of food i have been eating.
I feel better today and had normal B.M. I feel a bit slimmer under my bust, my spare tyre actually seems smaller than my boobs.
3 days to weigh in ........i feel a wine night coming on xxx

Too much wine and cider last night....YIKES!!!
