Starting over again (with photos)
Last summer my close friend introduced me to Slimming World, and as money was tight, I followed the plan at home. I went from 164lbs to 150lbs over approximately two months... then as the winter months came, and my close friend moved away to New Zealand, the stress of my current job and situation meant I followed the plan VERY loosely!
By January 2014, I was taking part in Dryathalon for Cancer Research, and swimming 4 times a week. Sadly, they decided to refurbish my local pool and the pools in the area aren't very good, so that took a nose dive! In a desperate attempt, I then started Herbalife, but found that while I was losing weight, if I ate anything, I came straight back to the 150lb mark!
I've decided to give Slimming World another go, and I'm really hoping that this time I will be motivated and stick to it! It is definitely one of the better diets, as I like it that you are still giving your body plenty of fruit and vegetables!
I have set my target weight to 130lbs, which means I'd like to lose approximately 20lbs... though I am undecided of what time frame to give for the losses! I started running, following the Bupa 0-5k running timetable (though I am a week behind because of stressful job interviews this week... ah yes, the joy of recent unemployment on one's love of comfort eating/drinking is not good!).
Today I had no breakfast (very bad! But I was busy applying for jobs and then went Tesco to stock up for the beginning of my new diet)... I plan to compensate and have a big breakfast tomorrow (Eggs, Bacon - fat cut off, beans and mushrooms!). For lunch I had two original Ryvita's with Tuna, Cucumber and Spring Onion on the top, 3 light Babybells and some red grapes and blueberries. And for dinner I made a Slimming World recipe involving Quorn, rice, stock, onions, garlic, peppers, green beans, paprika, turmeric, cinnamon and saffron! Very yummy!
I've had no syns so far today, and I have a bowl of dinner in the fridge that I could took into as I have only had two meals today... I may have a glass of red wine with it while I watch Big Brother (haha - no comment!)
Ohhhh how I just want to fit into all my old lovely dresses/tops/jeans! :wave_cry:
