    Starting over again (with photos)

    Last summer my close friend introduced me to Slimming World, and as money was tight, I followed the plan at home. I went from 164lbs to 150lbs over approximately two months... then as the winter months came, and my close friend moved away to New Zealand, the stress of my current job and situation meant I followed the plan VERY loosely!

    By January 2014, I was taking part in Dryathalon for Cancer Research, and swimming 4 times a week. Sadly, they decided to refurbish my local pool and the pools in the area aren't very good, so that took a nose dive! In a desperate attempt, I then started Herbalife, but found that while I was losing weight, if I ate anything, I came straight back to the 150lb mark!

    I've decided to give Slimming World another go, and I'm really hoping that this time I will be motivated and stick to it! It is definitely one of the better diets, as I like it that you are still giving your body plenty of fruit and vegetables!

    I have set my target weight to 130lbs, which means I'd like to lose approximately 20lbs... though I am undecided of what time frame to give for the losses! I started running, following the Bupa 0-5k running timetable (though I am a week behind because of stressful job interviews this week... ah yes, the joy of recent unemployment on one's love of comfort eating/drinking is not good!).

    Today I had no breakfast (very bad! But I was busy applying for jobs and then went Tesco to stock up for the beginning of my new diet)... I plan to compensate and have a big breakfast tomorrow (Eggs, Bacon - fat cut off, beans and mushrooms!). For lunch I had two original Ryvita's with Tuna, Cucumber and Spring Onion on the top, 3 light Babybells and some red grapes and blueberries. And for dinner I made a Slimming World recipe involving Quorn, rice, stock, onions, garlic, peppers, green beans, paprika, turmeric, cinnamon and saffron! Very yummy!

    I've had no syns so far today, and I have a bowl of dinner in the fridge that I could took into as I have only had two meals today... I may have a glass of red wine with it while I watch Big Brother (haha - no comment!)

    Ohhhh how I just want to fit into all my old lovely dresses/tops/jeans!

    Hmmmm, today is going to be a challenge! I woke up early at 6am, to wait for Argos to deliver my new hair curlers. For breakfast I had scrambled eggs, two small wholemeal slices of toast (HXB) and a large tomato with a coffee. I'm now about to go to the cinema to see the new Planet of the Apes film, so I'm hoping that I will resist all the goodies!!! x

    I survived the cinema! Well... I had a Pepsi Max, and a bag of skinny popcorn... ... the popcorn was 112 calories per 25g, and I ate all 75g of it! So that's 336 calories... alllll my syns gone for today! Bit gutted as I've brought the new Muller Light cheese cake and desert inspired yoghurts so I was hoping to try some tonight, and I got some of the Black Tower 'B' wine featured in the latest SW magazine... sigh... damn my lack of will power! Could have been worse I suppose... and I am toying with the idea that I only had 9 syns yesterday... hmmm.....

    I have been good though. When I came out the cinema I recieved a message from another friend, asking if I wanted to see The Purge 2 tonight! Now I love the cinema, and I really want to see this film, but it will have to wait for another day! x

    If you only had 9 syns yesterday then you could add the 6 you have left from yesterday onto today's allowance? then you could have a few more to use up xx

    No i don't do flexi syns, no real reason why I don't.. it just never crosses my mind. There are lots of people on here who do them and it works for them xx

    I'm torn, it just seems too simple to be allowed one blow out a fortnight! And I wonder if people save up their syns in the week or just have the blow out aswell x

    So before I go to bed I'd like to just post a re-cap of what I've eaten today, went way over on syns but then I did only have 9 syns yesterday (though will not use playing catch up as an excuse again in the future)

    Breakfast: Black coffee, two sweeteners, scrambled eggs, two slices wholemeal 400g toast (HXB) with tomato
    Lunch: (At the cinema) plain chicken, 75g skinny popcorn (336calories - 17syns), pepsi max
    Dinner: whole wheat spaghetti with lightest Philadelphia (HXA) and bacon (fat cut off) with salad, followed by cherries and green tea
    Snack: couldn't resist trying strawberry cheesecake Mullerlight yoghurt (1 syn) and 250ml glass of white Black Tower 'B' wine (6 syns)
    Water with no added sugar cordials throughout the day

    Total syns today: 24 syns

    Well it's 11:50am and I've still not had my morning coffee/breakfast!

    Decided that I needed to get back into the Bupa 0-5k running programme, as I'd not ran since last Thursay due to preparing for two stressful job interviews this week. I'd been ticking the days off as I went, so I decided to just pick up where I left off on week 3, and so completed Sunday week 3 today... this consisted of running for 3 minutes, walk for 1-3mins, repeat 5 times. It was tough... I feel so useless at running, but I am hoping it will get easier. Had a sneak peek on the scales this morning too, and while I was happy, I must get out of the obsession of looking at the scales everyday! It's not good for you...

    I planned to have scrambled eggs and fruit for breakfast, followed by ham salad, 6 wholemeal crackerbread (HXB) - I know people are now saying these don't count at HXB but I need to use up the box I brought - and 4 dairylea light triangles and then for dinner veg stir fry with dried egg noodles - think these are the variety that are free, not sure - and either chicken or pork that I get out the freezer. Think I will skip breakfast given the time (bad again I know!) and fill up on the strawberries if I get hungry as a result

    I'm aiming to drag out the exercise bike later on today too, if my legs still work, as I walked the dog straight after my run! x

    I got hungry and decided to have a snack of Asda value instant noodles, cooked without the powder sachet. I added salt, pepper and cayenne pepper for flavour. Is this free? I've read alot of threads and some say that it's free as the powder sachet contains the syns??

    i think the noodles are free without the sachet. It is just like using any other dried pasta i guess.
