My slimming world diary - time to get skinny for my wedding!! :)

Hello everybody!! :)

so I'm very new to slimming world, went to my first group meeting last night (august 20th) so il be getting weighed at group every Wednesday :)

I have so many reasons why I need and want to lose weight, but the 1 main one at the moment is I'm getting married in November 2015 and I refuse to walk down the aisle looking the way I do now!!

My amazing and very supportive fiancé is helping me as much as he can and keeps telling me he loves me exactly the way I am now which is obviously lovely but I find it so hard to believe how anyone can love anyone that looks like I do!

Another one of my very main reasons why I need to lose weight is for our daughter, she's 4 years old in October and I've only been able to run around the park with her about 4 times!! She needs a slimmer, healthier and fitter mummy to play with! .. Plus the thought of her growing up with out her mummy breaks my heart which I know has a high chance of happening if I don't do something about my weight.

I have absolutely no idea about what I am and aren't allowed to eat and how to work out syns as the lady in group last night didn't explain it very well to me, but luckily she was just a stand in leader as the main lady who does my group each week just had a week off, but any help from any one on here will be very much appreciated!!

So I have some mini goals like everyone and they are ..

Lose at least 3 stone by Christmas, hopefully that is realistic?!
Lose 7 stone 6 pounds (which will take me to exactly 10 stone) by my birthday and the half marathon in May!! (YES I AM SIGNING UP TO THE HALF MARATHON!!)

and then my ultimate goal which is to get to between 8 and 9 stone for my wedding in November next year!! Soo excited!!

i will be posting my food and exercise in here every day (if I remember!) so if anyone wants to join me and help me!! then i will help and support everyone too, as much as I can!

Hey! Good luck on your journey. Here to subscribe and join you for a bit of motivation! I hit target a couple of months ago but put 7 lb back on so I'm back on plan trying to get back to target and get in good shape ..especially for our holiday may 2015 :)

Hey! Thankyou!.. Well done on hitting your target! .. Don't suppose you could help me though?! .. I literally have no idea what to do.. I'm sat here now thinking about lunch and I haven't got a clue what I am and aren't allowed to eat?! X
 
What have you had for breakfast and what do you have in?

I'm having beans ( free) on wholemeal toast which will be my healthy extea b. With fruit for after.

Are you doing the extra easy (ee) plan? ( I do that and find it the easiest. You have one hexb ( bread, revitalise etc) and one hexa a ( cheese, milk etc) a day

We don't have much in at all at the moment, going shopping tonight, actually in the middle of writing out my shopping list,
yeah I'm doing the extra easy plan, I'm just copying the 7 day meal plan on slimming world website at the moment for my shopping as not sure what else to get!

on the website though, say for like the luxury potato salad, it has the colour orange with a 1/2 next to it, the colour red with a 4 next to it and the colour green with a 1/2 next to it, what in the world do they mean?!
 
Orange is extra easy which I'd the plan you are following so would be 1/2 a syn

Red is the red plan which is low carbon more meat.

Green is green plant which is more carbs less meat/ fish.

Best things to get are fry lite, lots of fruit and veg, eggs etc

Ohh that makes more sense now, so I go by the orange ones then as I'm on extra easy, so whenever I follow a slimming world recipe and there is a number next to the colour orange, that's how many syns are in that recipe? And when it says free in orange it means no syns at all in that recipe? Sorry for all the questions!! x
 
It's okay! Yes that's right. Just watch out if it says syns per serving, incase it says serves 4. If that makes sense!
 
Oh yeah I'll keep an eye out :) .. Thankyou for answering my questions, defiantly makes a lot more sence now :)
 
So day one done on slimming wold,

BREAKFAST

2 weetabix from healthy choice b
350ml of skimmed milk from healthy choice a (obviously didn't have all the time on Brekki, had cups of tea to!)
1 tea spoon of sweetener

LUNCH

chopped up banana
chopped up strawberrys
muller light toffee yogurt poured over the fruit :)

DINNER

Slimming world cottage pie :) - gorgeous!!

SNACKS

fresh pineapple!

DRINKS

2 cups of tea with my daily allowance of milk
2 litres of water

EXERCISE

10,000 steps :)

have got tomorrow's breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks and exercise all planned out too!
I've had a wicked day, hope everyone else has had a brilliant day too!! See you all tomorrow :) xx
 
Well done. Sounds really good for your first day! P.s have you had any syns?

Thankyou! Quite impressed, don't feel hungry or deprived for once! I've not had any syns today, don't feel like I need them yet x
 
Bit of advice....Make sure you aim for at least 5 most days. I feel they are there for a reason. A treat every now and again will stop cravings and binges etc. And some people find they lose more weight having syns :)

Ah I'll remember that Thankyou! .. My slimming world leader said we don't need to have any at all if we don't want or we can save them all for the weekend and have a massive blow out!! Don't plan on doing that obviously lol x
 
Haha that's true! A lot of people flexi syn and save up all their syns and completely binge at the weekend! It works for some people, not for others. I try not to do that as it makes me feel yuck after a naughty weekend. However I do love my treats so sometimes go over my syns but cut some down another day. You will learn what works for you anyway
