Fighting the Flab!!

Ahhh so here I am. At my heaviest EVER and I'm not willing to put on anymore pounds, the only way now is DOWN!

I have been struggling with my weight for a while now and I used to follow slimming world. I lost weight for my wedding back earlier this year but since then I have piled it all back on, plus interest!!

I don't feel happy in my skin at all.... I can feel that I have put on weight and I also find my clothes are getting tighter on me.. no way am I buying bigger sizes!!

So yesterday I made the decision I am going to get back on the Slimming World wagon and fight the flab!!

I'm even thinking of digging out the Wii Fit!! :argh:

Well I'm making do the best I can this week as I'm low on funds and pay day is two days away. Then I will go and do a tidy shop, at the moment I'm just using what is in the cupboards lol My husband is away at the moment too, which, even though I do miss him terribly, is making the diet a little bit easier as he's not sitting there scoffing chips and chocolate and asking me if I want any lol

Well, after I made that last post I found £20 in a jeans pocket - kerching!! Went straight to Lidls!!! lol

So I had a good week last week and weighed on Wednesday and I had lost 3.5lbs which was brilliant.

I find my biggest downfalls are:

1) The BIGGEST downfall is I'm the only person in the house on SW and my husband is not following it (although I wished he would)
2) Hectic life with working two jobs and volunteering so I am always out and about
3) In the evenings I crave terribly and that's when I tend to go for the naughty foods, whatever is handy, sweets, crisps, chocolate etc.

I've decided to try and combat the above by:

1) Accepting my husband is not going to follow SW, not properly, anyway. Of course, he will eat meals I cook but if he wants a takeaway that's his choice and I can either join in and go for low syn, use flexi syns or just not have one. You never know, one day he may change his mind and join with me properly... I hope so. :)

2) Preparation!! I cooked a soup the other day and it was so quick and simple and left me with 4 meals which I have put in the freezer.. I have a slow cooker so I also aim to use that more.

3) Keep low syn snacks (found out Kinder Chocolate Bars are 3.5 syns each :)) , eat a good meal at teatime which will fill me up. Something else I have been doing is replacing my weetabix in the morning for something else (scrambled egg and baked beans or fruit and yogurt etc) and in the evening, having ryvitas, soft cheese and pickles which I can snack through.

I got to be honest and say last night I went for an Indian with some friends which was already prearranged and I was a bit naughty then, but if I am good now til next week then hopefully it will not affect my weight loss.

Onwards and upwards! :)
