My Skinny Jeans Challenge (again!)

My story so far...

I started SW in November 2012 and over the course of a year dropped from 13st 8lb to around 10st 7lb. Happy with that, I stupidly stopped going to class and since then I've slowly gained around 1st and I'm now sitting at around 11st 7lb.

I went back to class about 2 months ago but I really struggled to stick to plan and my weight was all over the place. I was so embarrassed that everyone was doing so well and I wasn't even managing to get to my first half stone award that I stopped going.

I also tried keeping a diary on here but I was either too embarrassed by constantly going off plan that I didn't want to be honest, or I just didn't have a chance to post.

My target

In January 2014 I went on a weekend break to London with my new beau and treated myself to a gorgeous pair of skinny jeans. Unfortunately, I no longer fit into them :( I'm off to Dublin on 3 March 2015 and I have every intention of packing and wearing those jeans so that is my target date.

The plan

My WI will be done on a Saturday morning and I'm going to try and stick to the plan from home using Minimins and Google for information and support. I don't like meat so I do Green days only. As well as the eating plan, I'm also on a mission to get fit as my friend is keen to put a team together for the Edinburgh Marathon Relay next May. I started C25K a couple of weeks ago and I'm due to do Week2, Day3 tonight.

HELP!

I know I'm going to really struggle to shift this 1st so I really need some support. Please stop by and say hello.

Thanks

xx

hey fellow veggie and green day :)

March is a good time away - you can easily shift that stone! It's shocking how easily the weight goes back on if you're not keeping an eye on it.

Thanks for stopping by :)

Yes I know, it's frightening how easily it crept back on.

I know I'm going to really struggle (based on my experience over the past month or so) which is why I tried to be realistic with my target. I think it works out that it's 10 full weeks before I go so it's an average weightloss of around 1.5lb per week. I'd love to get there sooner though.....

I'm off to have a little peek at your diary now :)

I know only too well how easily the weight creeps back on, good luck getting the stone off. Here to follow x

Evening Ryvita minis (HEXB) and SW vegetable pakora bites

Another member who knows too well how the weight creeps back on. A good tip is to write down how many syns you had today and how many you've had from your weekly allowance. Good luck with your weight loss. Food looks good

Yeah, I found keeping weekly syns really useful last time around so I'm going to start keeping a note of them from Saturday which is going to be my WI day

I'm really pleased that I managed a good first day on plan. I didn't intend to have quite as many syns as that but at least I was below the 15 which is the main thing I suppose. It's funny how a couple here and there really add up though isn't it.

Today I expect to max out on the syns as I'm making macaroni cheese for dinner. I've tried many SW versions in the past but they just haven't matched up to my non-SW version. I've worked out that if I use 10 syns + both HEXAs I can still have it though. I know it seems a huge amount but I absolutely love it and it is a very rare treat so I'm willing to go with it. Whilst my boyfriend will probably have garlic bread or something with it, I intend to have a side salad.

Weekends are always tricky for me. Firstly because I'm outwith my usual work routine and secondly because my boyfriend stays with me at weekends and he has a terribly sweet tooth and a love of takeaways..... We're going out for dinner tomorrow because we're celebrating that he is starting a new job on Monday :D I've had a look at the menu and think I'm going to choose the lentil soup starter (no bread) and the penne arrabiata main.

First proper WI tomorrow....

I didn't intend to have so much cheese today so I'm glad you have it as a B choice on Green! I had eaten my lunch before I remembered I was having macaroni cheese for dinner - oops!

Hi, good luck, 1st should be achievable by March :)
Is Jacket potato not 'free' on a green day,as i thought they were?....and you have it logged as 3 syns? :)

Hi, yes they are usually free but I know the ones I buy at work are coated with some oil before cooking so I always allow 3 syns for them.
