Just started SW EE last week.
funny time of year to join according to some but I've just stopped breastfeeding 2 weeks ago after 10 years of either being pregnant or breastfeeding (not the same child) and I'm ready to get back to being fit.
i figured if I waited until the new year I might not do it and if I did I'd have all the extra festive weight gain to deal with on top of the weight I already need to lose...no thanks!

I love food, real food. We cook most things from scratch, I seem a bit different from most of the other people at group in that respect. I didn't even know what a mugshot was until I heard about them at group!

yesterday was weigh in number two (after one week on plan): -2lbs :)

So long as my weight is generally heading towards a healthy range I'm happy!
 
I lost 4lbs this week!
i had a Xmas work do but I didn't eat the bits I didn't like.
we also had two days eating out for every meal (took a short city break). It wasn't always easy to make good choices but I tried my best and it paid off.
the only thing I'm missing is having to severely limit my butter consumption but I'll get used to that.

I've discovered that lemon juice+salt on jacket potato makes up for the absence of butter.

currently marvelling in the fact that smoked salmon is freeeeeeee!!! :bliss:

tomorrow is xmas day and I'm planning to enjoy it without going mad and without counting syns for that one day.
 
1lb off this week. Initially a little disappointed as I'd been really careful but it's still a step in the right direction.

Finding it harder today.
probably the first day since I've started that I've felt I wanted to scoff chocolate.

I had 5 syns worth of chocolate and felt much better.

Syns for today = 11

I'm hoping I won't use any more syns today.

Feeling pretty down but hopefully my yummy tea will help
 
Well done on your half stone already! I am on day 3! just waiting till my daughter goes to bed so i can have tea! turkey curry & cauliflower rice- hoping the rice is nice!

and dont feel down, you wanted chocolate- you had chocolate- and you stopped at 5 syns! yey! it what the syns are for after all! all mine at weekends go on wine!
 
Decided that it's time to face the facts and another episode of depression was stating so time to put in place my depression obliterating plan which is exercise.
ive had bad depression several times and exercise has been the only thing to work.
so I got out my favourite workout DVDs and have implemented a system so I can do a workout in the mornings while the kids have their brekkie. The workouts are only 20 min but they are miracle workers for depression.
 
I've been doing my turbojam workouts and they feels great, even though I'm sore!

2.5lbs off this week.

i thought I'd done 3days of EESP but I'd misunderstood it and basically they were EE days.

now I know where I went wrong so no matter.

it's weird but I feel a bit despondent...why???
 
The despondency is gone!!! YAY!!

Just as well bc I am responsible for encouraging a dear friend to join SW. The DAY after she joined I felt so despondent but I couldn't very well give up on her could I?
yesterday was so easy. I only used 5 syns and didn't WANT any more. :wow:

ARGH!!!


made myself a hot chocolate using my leftover HEa and some carefully measured out cocoa and sweetener and it tastes FOUL!
im totally miffed bc I drank about half of it before chucking it. So I've "lost" half those syns and whatever HEa was in there.


and now I've just cooked some meatballs using extra lean turkey and beef mince and they've turned all watery and look gross.
:argh:


to make matters worse my son has very proudly made a sponge cake which is now baking in the oven. He's so proud of himself and tbh I'm sorely tempted to have some.

Lol, I have days like those:D

As for the hot choc drink .....i had an options 'bourneville' sachet for 2 syns .....put in 200ml of hot water as it stated , rather than ''fill the cup''....and it was lovely!
really chocolatey, also added 2 syns marshmallows too....lush :D

Made a bit of a mess of things this evening...ate cake without counting (it came out of the tin all broken anyway but it was delish)

Spoke to my consultant on the phone who helped a bit.

gave me the courage to start again tomorrow with an action plan of meals planned out.

I'm a big fan of meal planning and used to have everything worked out perfectly before SW.
The recipes aren't that bad - my weight gain came from over eating baked goodies.

So I'm revising my favorite recipes (apart from a couple that I just have to wave goodbye too) and giving meal planning those a go.

Tomorrow is a new day.
 
3.5lbs gone into oblivion this week and was slimmer of the week! :wee:
