Countdown to Glastonbury

As of today it's 169 days until we leave for Glastonbury festival, last year I was unfit and overweight, I can't do that this year as I was so uncomfortable. So as of 00.01 on New Year's Day I started my campaign to be leaner and meaner so I can enjoy myself so much more. I won't be at target but I can sure as anything put a big dent in it.

I start home training with kettlebells tomorrow, I have done it a little before so I am comfortable with the technique I just have to stick with it  I only work 2 days a week so no excuses and I also combine an hour or so dog walking to go with it.

I am following EE, but will be adding a couple of EE sp in when I have finished my first initial month after rejoining, my consultant Adam prefers we do it this way and I'm paying for his advice so why ignore it lol.

So the countdown is on.......

I too am heading to Glastonbury - was a bit lighter last year, but a lot heavier the year previous so do not want to make the hours of walking any more tiresome! Hoping to be around the 11st mark by June, but my weight loss is terrifically slow so I'd be happy to just be lighter than I was last year, which isn't that far off really (8lbs!)

That's great was hoping to find a kindred Glastonbury spirit :) well done on the loss. There is no way I want to do this years festival at this weight it's just to tiring.

Yeah glastonbury is tiring enough! You could easily get a few stone off before and its amazing how much of a difference that will make.

My main problem was finding wellies that could hold my thighs in :)

I wear hiking boots I have never found wellies to fit me for years

As of today it's 168 days, today has been a good day. Kettlebell training started only did 15 mins but building up slowly, and right now my legs are aching so something's happening :) Also walked the dog for 1.05 hours in the country park near when I live it's rough terrain so hoping that's burnt extra calories to.

D- sw chips, m & S chunky steak in tin with a side of brocoli

Good day on plan! Good call on 15 mins kettleball - there's nothing worse than throwing yourself into exercise with the best intentions only to injure yourself and sit out for a while. Thats when the crap food/lazy attitude begins all over again. build it up slowly and you're more likely to enjoy it and stick with it.

I've been doing between 1-2 hours of yoga a day, which is paying off but I ache! It's that good, stretch ache however and it will pass in a few weeks once I've stregnthed up a bit. I hate the cold and am out of work currently so find it really hard to leave the house when its grey and cold...going to try and get on to my allotment tomorrow if it's not too wet :)

Would love to try yoga or the other one I fancy is tai chi :) Would love an allotment don't have to much space at the new house. Used to grow carrotts, potatoes, parsnips and runner beans.
