My Slimming World Journey

I'm hoping a little blog will keep my motivated. It has to be said - I HATE WATCHING WHAT I EAT but unfortunately it has to be done. I can do so well when I put my mind to it but when I become bored of the idea this is where I fall flat on my face. I'm the heaviest I've ever been at the moment and I feel awful for it and my clothes not fitting has made me worse - the vicious circle of eating because you're sad and being sad because you eat too much :(

Day 1 has gone well so far - I'm actually glad to be eating 'proper' food again after the madness of Christmas. I'm going to Venice in February for my 30th birthday so I would really like to lose some weight for then. All help and encouragement will be greatly appreciated - especially cheap & fast meal ideas etc. :D

Hope to talk to some of you soon :wave_cry:

Hi there! I know exactly how you are feeling, I was in the same posistion one year ago! But i joined and I have never looked back!

I sometimes get fed up of writing it down and constantly checking etc etc, but it really helps me to stay on plan.
I'm glad you're first day went so well, what kind of things did you eat?

Well I'm heading out to do shopping tonight so had some wheetabix for breakfast, then some fruit, tuna pasta for lunch and an omelette with beg for dinner. With coffee in between. Nothing very exciting but I wasn't hungry which was a plus! Have u kept it up for a year?

It's great to not be hungry isn't it :) one of the reasons I picked this over weighWatchers anyway!

Yep I only missed 3 week weigh ins over that time, as I was in Edinburgh for a week and then Turkey for two weeks respectively. (Gaining 12lbs out of my 2stone loss, eek!)

I find the best way to keep on track is to always go get weighed, even if you know you have had a rubbish week, as you may get a nice surprise anyway! :)

I am new to this site but feel exactly the same! I have done slimming world on and off over the last 7 years so you would think I would knoe it inside out by now and have completed a full lifestyle change but unfortunately I get bored and decide to have a 'day off' during which I binge eat until I can't possible eat anymore - mainly chocolate and biscuits/anything sweet! In my mind I tell myself it's fine because I am on a day off - wish I could just stick to choosing 1 treat and manage my weight loss more effectivley, very frustrating. Also I work in a hospital and patients are constantly leaving us tins of biscuits and sweets which is really hard to ignore when they are on the desk! I am more determined than ever this year to get to target!!! I think this forum is great and can't believe I haven't found it before! I am going to Majorca in August with my family and my two very slim and tanned sisters - me and my mum are both overweight and fair skinned- life really isn't fair is it? I must must must do this in order to not have to sit on the opposite side of the pool to my siblings ha ha!!! good luck to us all and keep posting peeps!!!!!

I must be a bit like u - there's no such thing as 1 square of chocolate in my world, it's all or nothing. That's a habit I really need to break!

It's nice to know I'm not alone out there though, so glad I found this website!

There is nothing we cant have on slimming world aslong as we plan for it :) my best chocolate fix if i dont have enough syns left is an options hot chocolate sachet, just beats the cravings!

I did my journey for my holiday, after 2 years of going to Turket I decided last year would be the year I would not be overweight. And i did it! And had the best holiday of my life :)

Of course gaining back a fair bit didnt dampen my spirits, I went straight back to group and got back on plan!

Hope you have a good day ladies, mine will be filled with cleaning and pre cooking this weeks meals!
