Hi everyone, welcome to my Diary... I have been an on/off member of Slimming World for 2-3 years, always falling off the wagon and never getting where I wanted to be (only self to blame!) ...so here I am again for the last time / foreseeable future at my heaviest weight to date. I hope that recording a diary here will help me (and others) on our journeys. Thanks for taking the time to read, please note that I have been known to ramble on, and on, and on... from time to time! :p

I will try to keep on top of this thread every day - that is my plan anyway.
Every day I will list Healthy Extra Choices A & B along with Breakfast, Dinner & Tea (it's dinner and tea where I come from.... not lunch and dinner!! :D) ...and not forgetting the Syns that will be required by be, most days.

...you may get some exercise out of me... if you're very lucky!

If I ever have any weights / measures / syn values incorrect, don't be afraid to correct me!

So here goes, first day as planned:

HEx A - 250ml Semi Skimmed Milk
HEx B - 2 Choc & Fudge Alpen Light

B - Bacon (fat trimmed), Scrambled Eggs, Mushrooms with Tea & an Apple
D - Pasta with Tuna & Sweetcorn, Peppers, Cucumber, Red Onion & Tomatoes followed by Cherry Mullerlight & Melon, Grapes & Apricots! (That was a mouthful!)
T -
Slow Cooker Chicken Curry (made from Schwartz S/C mix... Syns below) Chicken, Potatoes, BNS, Red Onion, Tinned Toms & Peppers - finished off with a little spinach & fresh coriander.

Syns -
Light Mayo x 1 tbsp - 2 syns
Schwartz Slow Cooker Mix (3.5 syns for full packet, shared between 2 people) - 2 syns (I'm taking the higher value!)
VeeTee Dine In Basmati Rice (God send) Half Pack - 0.5 syns

Totes Syns - 4.5 / 15

Day 1 went well I thought.... now for Day 2

HEx A - 30g Grated Cheddar
HEx B - 2 x Aldi Benefit Bars Apple & Sultana

B - Bacon (fat trimmed), Mushrooms & Egg Omelette with Tea and an Apple
D - Remnants of last nights Slow Cooked Chicken Curry (Lush by the way) followed by Vanilla Mullerlight & Melon, Grapes & Apricots
T - Home made Chilli, Ex Lean Mince, Onion, Passata, Herbs & Spices, Fiery Chilli Beanz, Mushrooms, Peppers & Boiled Rice

I'm going to incorporate S for Snacks, seems legit??

S - Satsumas, Banana, Melon, Strawberries

Syns -
Semi Skimmed Milk - 2.5 Syns
Soured Cream 2 x Tbsp - 2 Syn
Schwartz Slow Cooker Mix - 1 Syn

Totes Syns - 5.5

Sooo fast approaching the weekend - usually my pit fall but I will not falter!!

Today's loveliness......

HEx A - 2 Light Cheese Slices
HEx B - 60g Wholemeal Roll

B - Melon, Pear, Grapes & Strawberries with Ff Natural Yog and 1 Tbsp of Honey, cuppa tea
D - Last nights Chilli with rice, melon, strawberries & grapes, Vanilla Mullerlight
T - SW Fakeaway Burgers with SW Chips, Corn ont Cob & SW Coleslaw

S - Apple, Satsuma, Crabsticks, Mullerlight

Syns -
1 x Tbsp Honey - 2.5 Syns
100ml Semi Skimmed - 2.5 Syns
Light Mayo - 1 Syn
Heinz Burger Sauce - 1.5 Syns


Totes Syns - 7.5 Syns

Saturday looked like this! A little off track but better than my last stint!

HEx A - 30g Cheddar
HEx B - 60g Wholemeal Roll

B - Fried Egg, Grilled Tomatoes, Mushrooms & Bacon
D - Jacket Potato, Tuna, Sweet Corn, Cucumber
T - SW Chips, Fakeaway Spiced Chicken Thighs, SW Coleslaw, Corn ont Cob

S - None, not even any fruit!! (Naughty!)

Syns -
SW Gravy (from Fakeaway Book) - 1 Syn
Light Mayo - 1 Syn

....unplanned Cocktail Night at our friends, simply to book Annual Easter Camping! Came away 6 hours later having consumed 10 cocktails, booked Easter Camping and also random flights to Malaga to stay in a villa this August - No idea how many Syns!

Totes Syns - Well over 15! Oops!

Draw a line... tomorrow is a new day!

Sunday, slight case of 'thick head' from the cocktails on Saturday night (oops!) laughing at OH throwing his bank card around to book flights whilst inebriated :8855:

B - Bacon & Egg on Wholemeal Roll above, Ketchup (1).... still hungry so had Banana Pancakes (5) with Strawberries & FF Fromage Frais, Honey Drizzle (1)
D - Salt & Pepper Chicken - Chicken Breast, Peppers, Onions, Spring Onions, Chilli, Garlic & Soy Sauce, with microwave Egg Fried Rice (1)
T - Roast Chicken, Roast Potatoes, Sugarsnap Peas, Corn, Carrots, Broccoli, Cauilflower & Parsnips... Gravy (5), Stuffing (2.5), Yorkshire (2.5)

S - Few bits of Melon & Strawberry, Crabsticks & SW Style Haribo (1)

Was absolutely starving yesterday, probably... DEFINITELY had more Syns than I should have... I love Banana Pancakes but the 5 Syns for a mashed banana makes me wonder if it's worth it?! Really annoys me having to use so many syns on an already synful day!! I am proud of myself for not reaching out to the crisp cupboard or treat corner in our house - took serious will power so I'm happy with that.

...there had best be a loss on Tuesday night, or else I will be very upset!

Syns -

Oh it's really easy and all down to preference!

1 chicken breast sliced
half a white onion - cut into chunks
3 mini peppers (from aldi)
3 spring onion
1 garlic clove
1 chili (medium heat) ...again down to preference!
Salt & pepper

Fry off garlic and chilli in a hot pan or wok, then add the chicken, season with salt & pepper and when nearly cooked then throw in the onions & peppers and cook for another 5 mins (or until chicken is cooked through) so that they keep their crunch.
I tried to splash with a tiny bit of soy yesterday but ended up pouring far too much in! Sometimes I don't use it at all! Ha

Would usually have with noodles or SW fried rice but wanted a quick fix so a frozen pouch went into the microwave!

So - Back on the straight & narrow today after a very average weekend!!

D - Egg Mayo (1) and Ham on HEx B, Melon, Grapes & Strawberries followed by Vanilla Choc Sprinkle Mullerlight
T - Cottage Pie with Butternut Squash & Sweet Potato Mash topping (I fancy a change from the norm). SW website recipe for the Cottage Pie... with Carrots, Broccoli & Cauliflower

S - Apple, Satsumas, Cheddar Gorge GRAZE (6)

Syns -
Honey - 1 Syn
Light Mayo - 1 Syn
Cheddar Gorge - 6 Syns

Totes Syns - 8 so far

It's here..... Weigh In Day! Fingers crossed please for any kind of loss (A bit worried about the drinking on Saturday night, and I don't think I've had enough 1/3 Super Free over the weekend either :()

On today's menu...

HEx B - 2 x Aldi Benefit Apple & Sultana (Gutted I have left them at home, going to be a long day!)

B - 2 Boiled Eggs, Melon, Apricot & Grapes with FF Fromage Frais and Honey Drizzle (1), Tea
D - Another Boiled Egg, Melon, Strawberry & Grapes with Strawberry Mullerlight (I can see a pattern emerging here!! - I never have much before weigh in, trying to attempt a boost in weight loss although not sure it works! Ha)
T - Inspired by another member on Recipes... Beef & Mushroom Chinese Style, Mayflower Curry Sauce (4), SW Egg Fried Rice and Stir fried Vegetables - quite looking forward to this!

S - Apple, Banana, Satsumas

Syns -
Honey - 1 Syn
Mayflower Curry Sauce - 4 Syns


Totes Syns - 5 (so far!) ...dying for chocolate so I may treat myself to some Reese's tonight, we'll see...

Well, last night was my first weigh in and I lost 2.5lb! I'm happy with that now it's had time to sink in.... initially I wasn't happy about it but considering I had a night of naughtiness over the weekend - I've decided that it's a good start! :)

I had the mayflower curry sauce last night, it was really nice - my plate was full with beef in mushroom & SW egg fried rice along with stir fried vegetables! (a bit stressful to have everything cooking at the same time in my small kitchen!, rice was a bit stodgy to be honest - can't get it right every time!!) ....anyway I couldn't finish it all. Got into bed with a brew and a reese's nutrageous bar (obsessed!!) as a reward!

Back to normal this morning, it's a new week!!



HEx A - 65g Low Fat Mozzarella
HEx B - 2 slice Wholemeal Loaf

B - Bacon on toast with ketchup (1), melon & tea
D - Ham & Egg Salad, Lettuce, Cucumber, Tomato, Peppers & SW Coleslaw (1) - Melon, Grapes & Apricots, Cherry Mullerlight for afters
T - Pork Meatballs in Tomato Sauce with Tagliatelle - Melon & Grapes

S - Apple, Banana, Satsumas

Syns -
Ketchup - 1 Syn
Light Mayo from Coleslaw - 1 Syn
Fudge - 5.5 Syns

Totes Syns - 7.5

Hi Everyone, hope you're all having a great week so far! ....Even though I only lost 2.5lb this week, I feel a bit less bloated today... maybe even a little thinner, is that even possible?! :D

HEx A - 40g Low Fat Cheddar
HEx B - 1 Slice Wholemeal & 1 x Aldi Benefit Bar (ohh NAUGHTY mixing my B's.... it's a one off I promise!)

B - 2 Boiled Eggs, Melon, Strawberry & Grapes topped with FF Fromage Frais and honey drizzle (1)
D - Pasta n Sauce Quiche (Cheese, Ham & Leek Flavour - 1 syn for whole packet, quarter of the quiche - Neg....if you want the recipe let me know!) with Salad, Melon, Grape & Strawberries with Vanilla Choc Mullerlight
T - Pete's Parmo - Chicken Breast coated with HEx A Wholemeal, topped with Schwartz Mild Peppercorn Sauce, made with Skimmed milk (5), topped with HEx A Cheese, served with SW Chips & Salad (Sooo excited for this, truly!!)

S - Apple, Banana, Satsumas, Crabsticks

Syns -
Honey - 1 Syn
Mild Peppercorn Sauce - 2 Syns
Skimmed Milk for Sauce - 3 Syns
