Nettee's journey to a healthy BMI - 1 stone lighter by Easter?

Hello there, I have been with Slimming World since September this time around and have nearly lost 1 1/2 stone so far.

I have nearly maintained over Christmas and am now ready to refocus and go on down into the new year.

I intend to go to group and stay as much as I can. To attempt 2 SP days every week including Tuesdays - the day before weigh in! And I will continue to avoid refined fructose and limit my fruit to 2 portions per day as recommended by the Sweet Poison Quit Plan. I will also keep up my circuit training. I will post here most days on my progress.

I have around a stone to lose to gain a healthy BMI and after that who knows what I will do but hopefully gather a bit of a safety margin. I will call target when my weight stabilises and I am following the plan at least 80 - 90 % of the time.

I am going on Holiday just before Easter on 29th March so I have 11 weeks to get down to 10 st and 1/2 a pound which will be 1 stone less than I am now and a BMI just under 25. This is just over 1 lb per week and should be possible.

Hello to anyone who followed me before and welcome to anyone new - it lovely to know people are listening.

First goal for week one is to get my 1 1/2 stone award - 1.5lb to lose. My plan is to stick to the plan! EE most days and SP on Thursday and Tuesday.

No major issues this week except we may be cooking a roast for guests on Sunday - ought to be able to manage that as I will be in the kitchen :)

Over Christmas I have had some very bad days and some red, success express and SP days. Enjoying an EE day today with some rice :eating:

Didn't get to group this morning so my starting weight is unofficial which is a shame - I might be able to go tomorrow evening but it is not really the same....

Just posting so I'm subscribed, will read later x

whoop whoop - level 1 of the 30 day shred done. Bit of a change of routine but good.

A simple EE supper of cold chicken, jacket potato and salad. Really enjoyed treating myself to the potato! 16 syns today. Not a bad start to my new diary :)

I am wondering how to have an SP day packed lunch. Probably some wholemeal bread with cold meat and salad. Could go as far as making some sort of beany veg and meat cold salad thing but not sure I will.

I did go and weigh in this evening - 2.5lb up :(.

Lots of reasons why though, evening group, no red/sp day yesterday, my son got baking a lemon cake this afternoon and I couldn't resist it

Still I think it does equate to my 1 lb gain that I was expecting and will give me an even bigger official loss for next Wednesday morning. Stayed for the first 20 min of the new members talk. Didn't get on to SP sadly but ran through the basics which have not changed much. Think I might go for an SP supper this evening. planning on a curry so just a case of not having the rice. I not only ate lemon cake but also too many crackers and too much cheese today..... Lost the plot a bit there. Back on it tomorrow!

aarggh there is sugar in curry powder - why?????? Will have to go back to basics and put the spices in individually. Had chicken curry with loads of veg and spicy broccoli and spinach on the side. A tiny bit of rice too. A reasonable end to a dodgy day. Way over my syn allowance and sugar from the cake this afternoon.

Probably working again tomorrow to try and make up some time. Thinking of doing an SP day and using both Hexbs at lunch time on a sandwich. Would have to be an egg, tomato and mushroom breakfast with no toast n- maybe with beans? (prob too much sugar) and a synned afternoon snack and some sort of meaty supper. Maybe a trip to the supermarket is in order as well to stock up on borlotti beans and fresh meat and vegetables.

Don't worry about the gain, gone next week.

What the heck is up with sugar?? It's everywhere. I've had none in 7 days (in way of cakes, chocs, sweets, yoghurts). But couple of times this week I've had low cal M&S microwave meals and the sugar cravings afterwards, ridiculous!! I find it quite annoying. In the same way I find it annoying our soup at work is ladden with salt. Annoying.

Lemon cake!! AMAZING! You've raised him well ;-)

Yes, salt and sugar in processed food is a nightmare! The lemon cake was rather good (proud mummy) - I have raised a child who share my love of baking and eating! Proper sugar addict he is.

I have done an SP day today as planned:

egg, baked beans, tomato and mushroom for breakfast
Wholemeal bread (2 hexBs) ham and cucumber sandwich (1.5 syns of butter) with a pickled egg and more salad on the side. frozen berries - defrosted for lunch
snack of egg, tomatoes and mushroom on toast (2.5syns)
supper - pork chop on edeme bean stir fry with soy sauce. (not completely fat free so a few more syns for the fat)

milk in tea. (HexA)

was feeling a bit lacking in carbs immediately after supper but have let it go down a bit now and feeling better.

I went to the supermarket and stocked up on lots of different types of beans for SP days. feeling a bit more prepared.

Found a tin of new potatoes for an EE breakfast omelette with no HexB.

I have made the mistake of daily weighing again and am a bit frustrated with slow losses this week but I know it is a mistake and I just need to stick to the plan and check the results on Wednesday.

Need to think up a new exercise regime for 2015. Maybe the 30 day shred for starters? Alternate days and it will keep me going for 2 months.

Good EE day so far today with potatoes in my morning omelette and couscous with spicy seafood stir fry. still got my HexB up my sleeve for afternoon snacking!

I did 1400 3 hour work out this morning.....eaten 1200 calories back already!!

Well done

arraghh - a little bit of bad childcare news and I am busy eating chips and drinking wine. SP dinner to make up for it perhaps.....

Probably over my syn allowance a bit but the scales have finally shifted in the right direction! I do think in the very short term that EE is better than SP for me. Still think SP must be better in the long term. Perhaps I should have SP Mondays rather than Tuesdays with Wed weigh in.

A good, on plan EE day. 8 syns plus a bit of chicken skin.

Exercise is going by the wayside a bit but I am sure I will commit to something soon.

Work tomorrow - considering trying SP again - maybe repeating the lunch time sandwich with both HexBs. Have left over roast chicken to put in it.....

Pretty good weekend by sounds of it nettee. How much more do you think you have to lose? I can't see stats on iPhone

No goal but would like to be at most somewhere in the 9s and see what happens. Current stats show 11st 0.5 lb.

Oh dear, bingy 5 minutes. I am already on 14.5 syns and I have had 3 chocolates (6 syns) and a load of crackers and cheese (?28 syns). Time to draw a line........

A good SP prawn stir fry for supper. Not sure that it will negate my synful afternoon but better than deciding to write off the whole day and having a takeaway. :)

15 syns and an EE day today with an SP supper. Scales are looking promising for tomorrow. :)
