9st to lose! I can do this!!

Well I am just over two weeks into my journey and thought I'd start a diary on here to keep me motivated and also to keep a record of my weight loss journey. Now I have done slimming world many times. In fact, this is probably my 7th or 8th go at it but I've vowed to just take it one day at a time and to try and stick to small targets as the bigger picture is just too scary to think about just now!

I used to to always follow the green plan, so I'm slowly coming round to the extra easy way although I don't see me every doing the sp plan, I may give it a bash if things get desperate! So far I lost 7lbs in week one (and got sotw by default as the biggest loser left early) and on Wednesday there for my second weigh in I lost 6lbs!!!! (Sotw again) Which was a total shock as it was my star week and I was feeling rubbish! So only 1lb to get my first stone off and my first target (setting mini targets each week. Also managed to get into the next stone zone last weigh in so am chuffed with that.

Would love over to have some support from you lovely people on here as I know how fabulously supportive this site is.

Off to make some chicken noodle soup just now. I'm off out for lunch today so that may prove challenging but will do my best to make good choices and stay on track! I want that 1 stone sticker on Wednesday!! :D:D

Good luck with your journey :) xx

Thank you! I ended up going to nandos for lunch and had chicken breast, rice, corn and a side salad so hopefully not too heavy on the syns. Was very yummy too!!

Another good day has been had here foodwise. I'm pleased I managed to stay on plan despite being out and about as this is something I always struggle with. Another thing I struggle with are social events, namely going out with friends and over the past few years my social outings have definitely became less and less. This is something I definitely want to change as I lose this weight. I have two young boys and they have begun to make comments about my weight. Nothing nasty as they are only 4 and 6, bless them, but just things like asking why I look so different from the way I did when I married their daddy. :cry:I am soooooo ashamed to say that this is because I have gained over 10 stone since we got married which was just 7 years and 5 months ago!!! :sad0071:How does that even happen??? I am disgusted with myself and really want to change myself, not only for me, but for my husband and boys too.

Anyway, i'm rambling to myself now so it's time to get to bed me thinks!

well done on your first two losses!
fantastic!
It is surprising how easy we can put all the weight on, knowing, but not really giving it too much thought, or trying to lose it before it gets too far....
but you're doing it now that's the main thing :)
Good luck, i'm sure you can do it :)

Thank you very much Zafira. I just really wish I hadn't let myself get to this size. I only have myself to blame though. I want this to be the very last time that I have to rejoin slimming world as I know that the plan works if you only stick to it! (This is where my downfall has always been!!) Anyway, time to stop being all negative and start thinking about how I WILL be slim if I just stick at it. I really appreciate your post. You have been doing so well yourself. Is this your first time doing slimming world?

I was meant to be going to bed ages ago but then started watching Big Brother!! Ended up feeling peckish so whipped myself up a mushroom omelette. Nice and free and has filled me up so I don't go to bed hungry!! Nothing worse!

Hope you're have a good week xx

No, it's not my first time doing SW :D
am losing the same 5st that i lost years ago LOL
have done SW quite a few times over the years and this is the 2nd time that i am actually sticking with it properly without falling off the wagon and thinking sod it :)
have had a few binges , but have got back on it again :)
It's all in the mindset , with a bit of willpower and determination :)

omlettes are good and i agree very filling :)

Oh dear! Have you ever had an idea then instantly regretted it after you'd done it? Well I just had one of those moments!!

My hubby, who is an exercise fanatic was getting ready to go to the gym. Before he went he found a tape measure and decided to measure his waist size. He was moaning as it was 35 inches and he wears 32 inch trousers for work! So I asked him to measure around my waist, thinking it couldn't be that bad!! 52 inches wide!!! Omg!! 52 inches!! I was mortified and wished I'd never asked him to do it. :( We are going to re measure in 4 weeks time, and I'm determined to have it under the 50 mark for sure!

Anyway, my dinner is almost ready. Having salmon, rice and broccoli tonight and I am so hungry, I can't wait till it's ready. Am going to start taking pics of my food too so will do that tonight.

I think my waist wasn't far from that at one point in my life......I did write them down somewhere, but damned if i can find it:rolleyes:
But don't worry, think of it as that is the most it will ever be , and from now on it will shrink :)....you can do this! x
love salmon :)

Look forward to seeing some pics...they are always inspiring...and give more ideas :)

Thanks Zafira. I was just really embarrassed. Fair enough he knows what I look like but he doesn't know what I weigh and I really wish I hadn't let him see those measurements either. As you say though, it'll be the last time I see that number. I'm not doing any exercise at the moment as I just don't have the time at the moment plus I suffer from terrible back pain but I'm hoping the numbers go down just by eating healthy and increasing my steps each day.

My dinner was lovely, I do love salmon. Trying to have fish a few times a week to help with the weight loss.

The pics are of my lunch and dinner today. I also had some homemade lentil soup before the toast n beans and have been snacking on fruit throughout the day. Going to have my syns soon in the form of two packs of space raiders and an ice cream sandwich which will be 11.5 syns in total.

My OH doesn't know what my measurements are or were...no way would i tell him LOL....he only knows clothes sizes ....that's good enough :D
I can imagine how embarressed you felt, i would have too .x

But downwards figures from now on!:)

food looks good :)

Me & my daughter were looking for those space-raiders on Saturday...we got them in home bargains last week, but this weekend there wasn't any :(
Not that i like them but my daaughter does for 3 syns :D

Yes I like the space raiders. Good syn value too at 3 syns a packet. What do you normally use your syns on? I'm always looking for new ideas.

I can't wait to start seeing a difference in my shape and my clothes too!!

my syns are usually chocolate & sweet foods :D
I have a very sweet tooth!

usually,
choc scan bran cake @ 1.5 syns a slice
meringue nest 2.5 syns
mini kinder choc bars 3.5 syns each
hifi bars the 3 syn ones
Melba toasts 3 syns for a pck 6- they are small but enough for me- usually have LF soft cheese on them my HEA or part of it :)
pops crisps 3.5/4 syns bag
pink 'n' whites 2.5 syns or 3 for the jammie ones
11g mini marshmallows 2 syns- to go in hot choc
options/highlights hot choc 2 syns per cup
pot of Low fat devon custard 5.5 syns
asda sweet 'n' salty popcorn bag from multi-pack 4 syns
maybe a few other things like Extra light mayo or gravy when i use it....

Keep at it , and remain focussed, and you will soon see a difference in your shape and clothes, and that is a GOOD feeling :D

Hiya Tooty here to follow your journey. Well done on your first 2 weightlosses.

I am like you and have started and stopped SW so many times now. I have struggled to get back into it but i'm determined i'm not going to quit this time and this will be the last time i rejoin x

Hello SallyVater :wavey:

Nice to see you again. I remember you too! How are you getting on? Have you got a diary I can follow? I'm on my phone just now so can't see everything, sigs etc.

Hope you are well. I am probably a few stone heavier than last time I was on here! So depressing but I'm definitely doing it this time, no excuses!!!

Waiting to get a big injection in my arm!! Not looking forward to it ?

Hi Lisa,

Thanks for stopping by. Let's make this time our very last time for joining. I am turning 40 in July so that's a huge motivation for me. Do you have anything in particular you are slimming for?

Do you have your own diary? On phone using the app so can't check. Will follow yours if you do. Have a great day xx

Sally I just looked on my subscribed list and found your old diary...yays and boos!! Would love to read your new one if you have one. ?
