Excuses.

Excuses are what got me here:

I'm eating for two
Oh it's just baby weight, it will fall back off easy enough
I have to have another cake to maintain my bodacious hips
I'm eating for two again!!
I have a bad back so couldn't possibly go out jogging.....

I'm stubborn and I like my food so why on earth would I be fussed about loosing weight?

My precious daughter was drawing us all and when it came to me said how my body is big (ARGHHH) when she saw I looked a little sad she tried to cheer me up by saying she didnt mean it but medium sized!!

I know i'm chunky, I just don't like to admitt it. I've tried so many diets, some have worked but the results were never something i could maintain as I would start eating 'normally' again or after three months I would be lighter but not see any physical results so would give up. My friend started SW and was getting great losses each week so I thought why not....best decision ever!

19 weeks into it all and im 4lbs off my 3 stone award, how did that happen!!! I think writing this down will help me deal with my personal demons and quite possibly raise a smile from a fellow member.

I wish you all the bestest of luck with your own personal journey, your diaries are truly wonderful and inspiring x x

I follow the EE plan with 2 SP days. My weigh day is on a Saturday so my SP days i have on a Thursday and Friday, this is something i have only just started to do so will see how the next few weeks go loss wise! My first week doing the combined plans i lost 4lbs, HOORAH!!

Todays diary:

Breakfast: Over night porridge (HEB) with 2 kiwi fruits
Snack: Apple, nectarine and 2 clementines
Lunch: Mugshot followed by chicken salad with baby beetroot and 2 hard boiled eggs
Dinner: Cous cous (1 syn) with mixed vegetables, mackerel in tomato sauce with sweet potato chips
I used my HEA for a Fudge Highlights drink (2 syns) however my husband made it with sabotage on the brain and it ended up costing me an extra 2 syns (too much milk)

Hi Dollypin,

Well done on your weight loss so far. You've done amazingly well. I had a similar episode with my son when he was looking at my wedding photos and asked me why I don't look like that anymore, I asked what he meant and he said in the photo I am straight up and down but now I'm all lumpy!! To be fair he has a point but it still touched a nerve!

Your food looks good too. Going to subscribe so I can follow your journey and get some more inspiration.

Tooty x

Hi , here to subscribe
well done on your loss so far!
I have lost just over 3st in 19 weeks i think, so a similar loss in similar time to you :)
It's all totally doable if you follow the plan :)
look forward to reading your progress :)

here to subscribe also.what a great loss in 19 weeks :) How did you do it over xmas? x

Hi and thanks for the lovely comments!! Zafira, well done for the amazing weight loss so far! Will be good to see how we both do over the next few months as were of similar weight, have you noticed much change in your appearance?

As previously mentioned i never have, which is why i always give up! With SW its different, my tops are baggy HOORAY - no change on bottom half yet.

Christmas was a struggle Tamkat, i was super behaved and told myself no cheating until Christmas Eve and i really did stick to it! The Quality Street as the most painful temptation but i soon realised that if i saved my two hifi lights for the evening, i could cut them into squares of four and then have 8 pretend chocolates!!!

When Crimble Eve/day/boxing day hit that was a whole different story, i think i drank a whole bottle of Archers in a day, had treats when i wanted and then had everything i could get down me at the buffet! I weighed in on 20th Dec and had lost 2lbs, that was my last weigh in until 3rd Jan as i had been away.

Dreaded my weigh in, sulked the whole way there and whilst waiting to be weighed thought sod it!! What will be will be, i had a bloody good three days and enjoyed myself like you should over the festive period! I had gained 1/2lb :) the damage control had worked!! It was back off the following week plus a bit more so all in all SUCCESS!!

Today has seen the arrival of star week, again very lucy with this as it seems to hit right at the begining of the week so by the time i weigh in the bloat has gone and feel confident it wont affect my result. I have reached for a few milky stars out of my daughters bag but i have the syns for them so not so bothered!

I had a look through my SW certificates today, always a good boost for me after catching a glimpse of my bum in the mirror! I achieved SOTM for November and have a lovely magnet on my fridge, i use it to keep a photo of myself on the fridge - it's horrid, the worse photo i could find, a deterrent for those pescky milky stars calling to me. I have little things like this throughout the house to keep me in check! My favourite is hanging in my bedroom, it's a lovely 50's tea style dress in a lovely blue colour with coral polka dots and buttons! My husband treated me to this at Christmas :) a 'target' dress. I have always been a size 18/20, this dress is a small 14, i tried it on the other day and can actually get it on quite comfortably (thanks to the stretchy material!!) The zip at the side will NOT budge but still yay! it goes over my head!!!

Todays food:

Breakfast: Overnight porridge (HEB) with sliced strawberries and a few blueberries
Snacks: Apple, 3 clementines, milky stars (4 syns at a guess, deffo less than a 33g bag which are 9 syns)
Lunch: 2 Egg omelette with plum tomatoes and some baked beans
Dinner: Left over cous cous and veg (1 syn) with roated butternut squash and a roasted chicken breast

I have recently purchased some Beanies Gingerbread instant coffee which is 0 syns. I like to use my HEA of 250ml Semi skimmed milk to make a latte and have this with a hifi bar (3 syns)

xXx

Hmmm don't know what that's about. Maybe someone will be able to explain, sorry

brilliant Dolly just goes to show you can get through xmas without a massive gain,I had a week off over xmas but was careful beforehand & it really did minimise the weightgain :) Gingerbread coffee sounds amazing!!

I've been right rubbsh and not posted for a few days, a nasty cold got the better of me!

Weigh day today, 3lbs off making me 1lb away from receiving my 3 stone award!!!! Super excited for next week now and has made me feel great after a not so nice week. I refuse to waste syns on cough sweets so plently of hot drinks and a sniffy stick to help with my blockages!!

My enjoyment levels are through the roof at the moment whilst on plan, preparing dinners and waiting to get weighed never used to get me all hopped up! So this is all new for me, a couple of friends had been so impressed with how im getting on they have joined up and we message one another to help keep each other in check. They have been rubbish e.g not counting syns and eating things that they know are ridiculous yet they moan like crazy when they weigh in and they have either maintained or lost half a pound!! I've got to the point i can't be nice anymore as i'm getting wound up lol Why bother do it and waste my time asking for help when your going to go stuff your face with naughty food?! Gahhh!! Rant!!!

Anyway!!!! Food today:

HEA: 250 SSkimmed Milk
HEB: 2 Hifi lights
Brekkie: Apple, Total split pot (2 syns)
Lunch: Shredded pork and salad, Dr Pepper Zero, Pear
Dinner: Sweet Potato & Salmon Fishcakes with Brocoli follwed by a fruit salad of kiwi, grapes and neterine

Well done on the loss!
You sound really motivated, so that 3 st award will be yours next week for sure:)
As for your friends...tell them straight!
I wouldn't bother helping if they don't help themselves more?
there's only so much you can do for people if they don't listen....
