am i alone? 6 stone to go

hi everyone,
im feeling really down and upset with myself today.
i feel like im the only person with such a lot of weight to lose and getting knowhere.
ive been a member on and off for over 9 years and still here with 6 stone to go.
please is there anyone else with a large amount of weight to lose??
it would be lovely to make a buddy along the way :)

I know exactly how you feel...i have been to slimming world groups before and weight watchers as well, but groups are just not for me! I am now back on slimming world ee since the 1st jan and have lost 10lb so far. I am still very motivated but know i will eventually hit the "weight loss wall"! I have about 5 stone to lose as of my weight today and i am quite panicked that i might not make it and fall off the band wagon again as i have done before!!!
Would love to be weight loss buddies!

welldone on your weightloss so far, i lost 6 and half in my first week then maintained last week, im worrying about it been such a large amount to lose. ive added a signature on bottom with mini targets to try to help me stay focused.

I need to get my signature sorted...i'm usually on my mobile so haven't got round to it yet...mini goals are such a great idea...they keep you focused especially if the overall goal is quite a big number away...but...spoke to my friend today and she just got her 5 stone award so everything is possible..took her about 9 months to lose it but that included 2 holidays and christmas!!!
When do you weigh in...as i do slimming world on my own i can weigh in the same day as you!
 
wow 5 stone award. i cant even begin to imagine been that far into it yet.
i weigh wednesdays im going to make a huge effort to make sure i come on here every single day to log my progress, which means turning off from the other half and kids for an hour and having ME time :)
do you have something to aim for? x
 
I promised myself i won't be the "fat" guest at a wedding again...i was mortified when i had a friend of ours send me a photo taken last year june at a wedding we went to...we're invited to another wedding in august this year and i WILL NOT be the fat blob in the background again!!!!!
Sorry, getting a bit emotional but i really don't like the way i look at the moment and the picture just showed everything that's wrong in plain light!
So i've got about 6 months to get as close to where i want to be as possible. I'm under no illusion that this will probably not be 11st but surely closer to it than i am now!

ahh hun im exactly the same i can get emotional at the drop of an hat, just even thinking about my size and i can cry. i avoid even talking about it incase i do get emotional because so many people think its just a case of stop eating crap but its HARD :-(
phew,,,,, anyway we're hoping to take the kids to florida in september this year and i refuse to be the fat one who is on no photos, goes on no rides and lays flat hoping to look slim at the water parks rather than joining in.
instead i want to be on every photo, every ride and be proud to be flaunting my new thinner body as its once in a life time opportunity and the only time we'll probably ever go so i want pictures to remember it by.
most photos of me are torn up or in boxes away from sight :-(
 
Hi Ladies, I have more than 6 stone to lose, taking one half a stone at a time. My next target is my half stone award which I want to get in 2 weeks time. I have lost 5.5lb and 3.5lbs the last 2 weeks.

welldone on 2 good weight losses. thats exactly what im doing each half stone is my next count down hoping it'll keep my spirits up :)

Will be back tomorrow to share my weight...even though i only weighed myself today and i was 15st9lb but you never know, i might lose a stone over night, lol (you can but hope)
My scales don't do half pounds so it's either 1lb or nothing, but i'm not going out and buying a new set of scales, not in the budget at the moment ;-)
 
weve been saving for 4 years to go so its a massive step for us after all the set backs of things going wrong over the years meaning weve had to put it on hold.
if you find you've lost a stone overnight i want whatever youve had!!!!!

Right, here it goes...

Starting weight 01.01.15 - 16st5lb
Weight 28.01.2015 - 15st9lb
Total weight loss - 10lb
Weight to lose to 11st target - 4st9lb

A bit disappointed as this is a gain of 1lb compared to last week's weigh in...we did have a meal out on saturday that i thoroughly enjoyed but i thought i was doing well the other days!!!

Oh well...no good feeling sorry for myself!!! Sure next week will be better!!!

well today i weighed in and ive gained 1lb, at first i was gutted as its only my 3rd week but after beating myself up and thinking logically this week...
ive had a chinese buffet
not measured a & b's
who knows how many bags of crisps (mcCoys salt and vinegar)
humpteen amounts of biscuits
so in reality ive not done too bad really.
but anyway im on this good and proper now, ive meal planned and tomorrow will be
breakfast: eggs, beans, toast, tomatoes and mushrooms (healthy b)
dinner: tuna, mayo and cheese sandwich with salad (healthy b and a) (syns 4 mayo)
tea:artichoke,carrot and celery soup
at night time when the kids are in bed i'll use some syns on an option hot chocolate and a freddo

done a weekly meal planner for each meal and syns then i will be more likely to stick to it and have a HUGE weightloss next week.
feeling actually quite positive about this week so fingers crossed

Just looked at your meal plan for tomorrow...are you doing ee or ee sp...just because you got 2 hexb xx
 
im going to give the sp day a go i think sorry forgot to mention that, hoping the strictness of it will bring me back on track.
what you got planned meal wise tomorrow or ont you plan?
im working a extra shift on top of my usual so im going to be shattered and ready for my tea, plus got snow forecast so will be cold and having a nice warm soup ready and waiting will help :)
 
I'm doing the ee...i'm too much of a carb person, especially in the evening...managed to cut bread out altogether though

I'm having
Breakfast: 35g of bran flakes (heb) and a banana
Snack: syn free yoghurt
Lunch: left over stir fry from tonight (2.5 syns)
Snack: syn free yoghurt (helps stay away from the office biscuits ;-)
Dinner: jacket potato with tuna mayo (mayo replaced with syn free onion & chive cottage cheese) with a side plate of salad
Probably will have my hexa of milk in one go at night with an options (2syns)

Mmmhhh...looking forward to this now!!!!

What i noticed today, wondering where last week went wrong...i didn't have a lot to drink, so aiming to get the 2ltrs into me tomorrow!
 
Don't feel you're on your own, there are so many lovely people on here in exactly the same position. It is a long, hard journey to lose weight effectively, with lots of slips along the way (I have had a successful day today but yesterday I had a Chinese takeaway, two packets of crisps and a blueberry muffin, the day before I ate two donuts!) use this site as 'me time' and for inspiration and advice. Good luck and remember to share your successes and slips as the support from everyone on here helps you to pick yourself up after a fall. :)
 
ive tried the sp day in my first week strawberry shortcake and really struggled not to eat bananas, pineapple and yogurts, so im hoping this will shock me into realising how lucky i am lol
as silly as it sounds im looking forward to starting this week now as im planned and hoping for that good loss.
hi pootle, thankyou for your words of support, ive tried replying to posts in past but dont feel part of the conversation so im hoping keeping my own diary where i'll hopefully pick up some buddies will help.
its so nice to hear other people slip up as it shows we're all human and its natural.
im going for art least 1 and half this week for my first award :)
 
literally didnt get chance to log on yesterday at all.
so a quick update for 2 days.
yesterday, had a decent day stuck to meal plan but was so busy i didnt pick at anything, so was starving all day inbetween meals. but im pretty happy i was good :)
today, stuck to plan all day so far, really struggling though with salad dressings, i either use reduced fat seafood sauce or light mayo which are both 2syns per tbsp and i have at least 4 tablespoons so having hardly any syns left for my freddo and hot chocolate.
working on a cold market all day tomorrow so trying to think of ideas i can take to warm me up but easy to eat stood up???? ideas greatly appreciated.

really really trying for my half stone award this week, thinking about starting swimming but soooo embarressed for everyone seeing me in my costume and looking, anyone else feel like this?
until then i think im going to start the 30 day challenge to ease into exercise,, hhuummmm might start that tomorrow lol
