Hi everyone,

So, I'm starting Slimming World Monday evening.
I've done a lot of diets, but never been to there before.
I've got 4 stone to loose... so I'm going to keep a food diary, to keep me on track.

:)

Hi :wavey:

Hope you get on okay tonight. At first there's quite a lot of information to absorb, but you soon get the hang of it.
This forum is brilliant for support and tips, and a food diary is the best way to keep on track.

Hi & welcome to the forum, I think a diary is a fab idea, I also take pics of my food which helps me.

Exactly, there is so much info & it can be a tad confusing.

Hi Matt,
Hope you enjoyed your group tonight, I know I was terrified last week for my first one but I was made to feel really welcome.
Keeping a food diary on here really helps, people will point out where you may need to tweek things.
Good luck with your 4st target ive got approx. the same amount as you I want to lose.

Mick

Welcome. I am going back to group tomorrow night to start again.

Hi all.
Thanks a lot for the comments :)

So, I had my first weight in tonight. I lost 4 pound, which is not brilliant for a first weight in... but I don't mind that much as it was Easter, and I did have a 'little' chocolate! :p
I seemed to go off a bit 3 days in due to a meal out with friends, but I'm defo motivated for this week coming!
I'm going to try and exercise a lot more this week too!

As I said, I was going to post a food diary every day, but I didn't seem to get around to that due to working non stop this week!
I will try and get and do that this week tho :)

4lb is a great loss if you factor in a meal out and easter chocolate, well done :)

Yes i guess so! I wasn't really that motivated last week as I wanted to get Easter over and done with first, so I ate quite a bit of chocolate!!

Can anyone recommend a substitute for mayonnaise? As i seem to be slightly addicted to it at the moment!

syn free mayo
Homemade mayonnaise.
Mix together 6 tbsp of fat free fromage frais, 2 tbsp white wine vinegar and 2 tsp granulated artificial sweetener. Blend 1 tsp mustard powder with 1 tsp water and stir into the dressing. Season with salt and freshly ground black pepper and hey presto, Free mayo! If sealed in an air-tight container and refrigerated, this will keep for up to 5 days.

bit of a hassle but will last you best part of a week
