I have done SW before, and have had good results. Well its all crept back on again, and now I have an amazing holiday to go on in July, on which I will need to wear shorts and summer dresses. The thought of it at the moment terrifies me! I want to lose 2 stone before I go, so I am back and determined to stay on plan until I go! I have never post my diary before, but am hoping it will make me behave myself!

I am not very good on computers so apologise if I offend anyone with my lack of response or posting in the wrong place etc, can anyone tell me how I can get one of those little tracker things at the bottom of peoples posts, that tells you what you have lost? The little picture things.

I think a diary is a fab idea to keep you on track, people will also comment if they can see anything which isn't quite right. I also take pics of my food which I find helps.

Where are you off to in July?

Good luck :) im the same have done SW before and so far finding im doing much better having minimins to refer to.

You can definitely do it im sure

First day diary

Well, here is a list of my first day, now I have written it down, it seems a lot of food!

B- Tea, fat free vanilla yog, with banana, 2 kiwis, raspberries, strawberries, tea

L- jacket with crabstick and low fat mayo (2 syns), tea

D- Tea, corn on the cob, homemade burger, 2 dairylea burger cheese (hex a), bread roll (hex b), salad leaves, tomatoes, cucumber. I used a small amount of beetroot salad dressing ( came with the bag of leaves) I am going to allow 2 syns for that.

Snacks- green tea, 2 slices of ham.

I think I got 4 syns and my hex a and hex b choice.

Any comments welcome.

Day 2

Thank you for looking and checking my diary, I do have a very small amount of skimmed milk in my tea 1 pint usually lasts me a week, sometimes I drink green tea with no milk. I know I need to count it as a hex A, was hoping I had enough for the cheese aswell.

I have been to florida twice before but when I was younger, without children, and a hubby. I have been waiting for my children to get old enough to appreciate it, I am a serial Disneyland paris goer though, its so much nearer!

I didn't realise I had to have speed foods with every meal, I could of had some salad withy my jacket, or some fruit after, would that have been better?

This is my food for day 2:

B- Tea, scrambled egg, finger roll Hex B

L- Jacket potato, prawns, low fat mayo (2 syns), slimline tonic with elderflower, Mango

D- Roast chicken, dry roast potatoes and parsnips, carrots, broccoli, greens, gravy (2 syns), slim tonic, Fat free yogurt

Snacks- Tea, 30g cheese Hex A, Very tiny Lindt hollow chocolate bunny ( 3 syns???)

Guessing the bunny, I should be 7 syns. I know I am a little under on my syns but we are going for a birthday meal on Saturday at the hungry horse and I know there will be lots of drinks involved, so was trying to save a few.

once again let me know if you see any problems.

If you're not syning the milk work out the syns for a whole pint & see how much that is that will give you an idea of the 'extra' syns you're having, on a daily basis it doesn't seem much but over the week you may be surprised or you could split the hexa have part milk part cheese, I do this sometimes. I've no idea on the syns for milk as I don't really have it. SW recommend you have speed food with each meal but not when having hexs, you don't have to have them, it's just a recommendation, personally I always have speed food with my meals.

Isn't Florida fab, we've been a few times with the children, we've just come back from Florida but without the children & we did the state parks which was fab, we saw a different side to it. We're hoping to go back when our daughter has saved enough money!!!

You could have syns on a weekly basis if you're going out, it's not something SW recommend, I do it & you'll find some people find it works for them & others won't do it as it doesn't work, but its worth trying especially for a night out, I'm not keen on flexi synning thats why I do it.

Day 3

Thanks for the help, I agree that flexi syns could be dangerous for me, so thought I would give it a go at saving them, we very rarely go out, just typical we get invited out during week 1. Hope I still get a loss, even a tiny one.

Florida is fab, I am so excited to go back. Just need to get myself summer ready!

B-Tea, fat free yogurt, raspberries, strawberries, banana, kiwi

L- subway salad bowl (no dressing) included approx. 3 black olives (2 syns), ham, 2 x 0% liberte yogurts with honey, gammon and pineapple kebab.

D- 2 sausages, casserole veg, casserole sauce pack????, slimline tonic

Snacks- 2 x tea, 2 x alpen light bars Hex B, coke zero, crudities (tomatoes, cucumber, carrot, celery)

Syns- 2 plus some for sausages (4 syns) and casserole pack (2 syns), will try and edit after I have sourced the info! The sauce mix is 5 syns for the packet so will say 2 syns per serving as I put 8 sausages in.

Syns total - 8

What a fabulous holiday to lose weight for!

HH has already pointed out a few things. Don't forget to check that the fat-free yogurts are Syn-free; not all flavoured ff ones are because they're sweetened with sugar, not sweetener - the Onken ones, for example, have Syns. Your Liberte yogurt with honey has 1.5 Syns per pot; I'm not clear from your post whether your Syn count includes this, but I don't think it does.

Day 4

OMG!!! I have been eating the Onken yogurts, vanilla and apple and mango, Also thought the liberte ones were free!!! What a wally, so cross with myself! Can anyone recommend some good yogurts, big pots aswell as small ones? Just aswell I haven't been eating all my syns!

Day 4 went like this:

B- Tea, scrambled egg, gammon and pineapple kebab

L- Onken fat free yogurt and pineapple, crab sticks

D- sausage casserole, with 2 sausages (5 syns), slimline tonic water

Snacks- tea x 2, 2 alpen light bars (hex B) 4 marshamallows (4 syns)

Well I thought I had used 9 syns today, but it will be more than that now due to the onken!!!!

Thanks for your help

Day 5

Thanks for your help! I am using some old books, so the info I get from here is proving vital! Well I will investigate the sticky on yougurts, in the meantime I have one more onken to polish off!
I am not that keen on the muller lights, think they are a bit runny!

Day 5:

B- Onken with strawberries and banana, Tea

L- Jacket potato with crab stick and low fat mayo (2 syns)

D- Steak, new potatoes, salad leaves, tomatoes, peppercorn sauce made using milk (hex A) and (2 syns), slim line tonic water

Snacks- 2 alpen light (hex B), 2 tea,

Day 6

The day I have been dreading, the meal out! I tried to be good during the day, so I could enjoy the evening, but I have to say dinner was really disappointing and I fear I blew the syns. The worst thing is that the meal wasn't enjoyable, I wouldn't mind going over if I had a fantastic treat, but it was wasn't, I wish I had stayed home and had a jacket!:(

B- melon, 2 alpen light bars (hex B), Tea

L- Tea, mixed salad bowl, pasta, ham

D- Hungry Horse: chicken skewers (were really dry), ribs(were cold and very fatty, left most of them), jacket (didn't eat as it was very dry), Corn on the cob (was like rubber, didn't attempt to eat), 5 onion rings (not good I know but was the best thing on the plate!) 2 single gins with slim tonic (best part of the meal!)

Snacks- tea

syns- no idea, but start again tomorrow!
