I can change.......for you

So after umming and ahhhing about coming back to Slimming World I have decided to do from home for the time being. I am classed as overweight on the bmi scale but I have a really large waist and it scares the hell out of me because my life could change for the worse at anytime. I have got out my SW books from group (both old and new) and my SW recipe books, I am going to plan for the week ahead but am currently trying to decide if I should to the ee or eesp (help!!), I suppose I should save eesp for those weeks when my body refuses to do as it's told? My biggest problem when losing weight is that I like to see huge losses every week, If I get a 5lb or 6lb loss in 1 week I am really happy and motivated for the new week ahead, but if my loss is 0.5lbs/1lb/2lb then I am incredibly disappointed in myself (really stupid I know), I need to somehow connect with my mind that a small loss or even a maintain is brilliant progress. I suppose it doesn't help that I am a 'glass half empty' person, I really do need to be more positive about all things. Anyway like I said, today I am planning, then tomorrow marks the start of my new journey to a healthier me. I have some elastic in the kitchen which I am going to use to measure my waist by using pen marks, I don't want to use a tape measure because I get obsessive with numbers, it's hard enough not to stand on the scales all the time but I will resist for now and make Mondays my weigh day.
Wish me luck! :D

I've decided to do eesp for this week just to kick-start my weightloss, it looks a lot like the red plan I used to do which worked really well for me. Not looking forward to standing on the scales tomorrow but oh well, at least i'm doing something about it!

Weighed myself this morning, I'm 1.5lbs heavier than I thought, last time I weighed this I was pregnant eek!! :d'oh: Anyway onwards and upwards! I'm trying to be really positive and not moody about everything, although I nearly lost my rag when my DD was being so slow when walking to school this morning, I had to sign her in through the office because her classroom door had been locked :banghead:

Breakfast - Scrambled eggs (3 eggs and hexa milk) on toast (hexb) with some grilled tomatoes and a coffee with milk (hexa),
Snack - 1 apple and a cup of tea with milk (hexa).
Lunch - Spicy chicken breast on a bed of leeks and carrots with 'gravy' (chicken stock cube dissolved in small amount of water), sugar free orange squash.
Dinner- Colorado burger with fries, pecan pie with ice cream and syrup. Cream soda to drink <<<<<<<<<< EXPLANATION BELOW!!!

Hiya! One thing to be wary of is that they don't recommend you do EESP until you've done EE for about 4 weeks. SP is only for when you need a boost and is definitely not for long term!

Maybe try EE first and then if you need a boost do a week of SP?

Also noticed you use a bit of milk, what I find helpful is measure out how much I should have at the start of the day and then you won't go over.

Have you found any fun recipes yet? :D

(Trying to be positive) Yesterday went well, I stuck to plan all day until dinner but I have decided that last nights dinner will be covered by my whole weeks syn allowance. My DH wanted to take us to our local American diner, I couldn't say no lol. It is the best 50's diner, overlooking a petrol station (not like the big chain one you see in shopping centres) with all the staff in 50's clothing. For someone like me who loves 50's America it is heaven lol. So yes, last nights dinner will be yesterdays syns and rest for this week, I know not everybody who does SW does it this way, but this is my way of dealing with it and to be honest a week of no more syns I can do as long as I have plenty on diet coke on standby!

Well today I am working 9-5 which means (unlike when I am home) no lunch break for me :( I am having my coffee right now, then will fill up on:
Ryvita original x2 (hexB) and cottage cheese with 1 apple and Satsuma

I will take some fruit in with me in case I do get a sneaky 5 mins to have a nibble, dinner tonight will probably be steamed fish (white or salmon) with steamed vegies, and some fruit to follow. I realise today my food intake wont be very much and it will probably be the same tomorrow (working 9-5 again), there isn't a lot I can do about it (I work in a busy restaurant), my main thoughts for the next few days is how I am going to resist nibbling throughout the day, I wont be telling them all I am on a diet because I am NOT on a diet. Anyway my DD just got up, I need to go wake DS up and get them fed (and myself) then wake DH so I can put my face on. Will try and post on here this evening :rainbow:

Todays food

Breakfast, 2 Ryvita's (hexB1) Cottage cheese and 1 apple with coffee and milk (hexA)
No lunch :(
Snack, 1 apple
No dinner
Supper, same as breakfast inc coffee but minus the apple, 2 oranges.

I know it's not great, but after not being able to have lunch when I work, I don't feel hungry. I didn't want to cook so forced the crackers, cheese and oranges down. Will definitely have to plan something for these working days, perhaps make some soup for the evenings?

Good morning, I'm really trying to be up beat this morning, I know my diet hasn't been great this week so far (really need to eat more speed) but I thought I may have already lost half a pound by now, I have lost sweet F.A which is a teeny tiny bit annoying. I'm working again today but only 4 hours :banana dancer: then I wont be back in work until next Friday .:sign0151:
Anyway I really need to stock up on speed foods, I might buy some salad and live off that for the next few days. Anyway when I jumped on the scales I realised nothing had shifted YET, I started to think about how much I wanted to lose by Monday morning, I first thought 2lbs but then that little voice in the back of my head was like '2lbs is rubbish, aim for 4lbs', I guess I still need my brain register that however small the loss it is still an amazing result.
Breakfast this morning will be fruit (I really need to go shop!) and coffee with milk (hexA)

Well I've not had much of an appetite these last few days, all I've eaten today was from the M&S café and that was a hot salmon and new potato salad (no dressing), I am going to eat later but not sure what, still haven't been to the supermarket, hardly anything in the freezer. Weigh day is Monday, I'm not expecting to lose anything this week. Not really got anything to say today, I've been feeling quite moody and distant, hopefully I will snap out of it soon.

It is very common to be moody when you change your diet regardless of diet plan and the first couple of weeks are all about trial and error as it takes time to get into a new healthy routine.

I went and joined SW on Tuesday evening and started eating the SW way on Wednesday and have slipped up a few times.

You might surprise yourself on Monday:)

Good morning all!! So today I am going to get back on plan, I bought the new SW mag the other day and there are a few recipes I want to try out, so will whip one up for dinner tonght, problem is, which one? lol! I am going to Tesco this morning to get some SW essentials (need to write a list), then spending the rest of the day trying to get my 4 year old son out of nappies/pull-ups (he is really stubborn), might squeeze in a walk to the lake after lunch so the kids can feed the ducks and play in the park, other than that I will be home cleaning. Really want to drop a dress size as soon as possible, going to have start using the gym again I think, plus do some hiit here at home, I hate exercise with a passion at first, after a few weeks I start to really enjoy it, anybody want to kick my ass into gear? Will post todays food intake tonight. xXx

Wow, this week has flown by! Today is weigh day, I haven't jumped on the scales yet, to be honest I have had such a terrible week I know it's going to be a gain or maintain. I have a goal to reach 10 stone by the end of June and because I have had a rubbish start it means I am going to have to aim for around 4lbs a week (if I do ee), EVERY WEEK, ARGH!!!! I have 5 weigh-ins next month, so it is achievable, I also know that when I do the red plan and include exercise I have a 6-8lb loss. This week will be good old red plan, then when I go back to ee I wont have to lose as much each week, this is probably more manageable. Going to bite the bullet and weigh myself now, wish me luck!
