right, i've been on slimming world since april 2008 and have managed to lose 24lbs so far, which i'm really pleased about.

i do the plan by sticking to it 100% all week, then on the night i get weighed-in i allow myself to eat whatever i fancy without counting sins, etc. this has helped me stick to plan during the week as i know if i'm craving something i can have it on a thursday night.

towards the end of june it was my boyfriends birthday and i'd planned to take 2 days off plan to celebrate with him. however, 2 days turned into 4! because of this i skipped class that week as my scales showed a 5lb gain and i couldn't face being told that in class, so i spent 9 days on plan 100%, with a few success express days added in, to undo the damage. when i weighed in last week i had maintained, which means whatever weight i'd put on i'd managed to lost again, which is brilliant. unfortunately i can feel that i'm starting to struggle, which i knew would happen, as i've done slimming world before. previously this is the point where my diet ends and i lose the plot - BIG TIME! but i'm not going to let it happen this time around. i feel like i'm clinging on to the side of the ship...and it's down to me to pull myself back on.

this is why i've decided to keep a diary on here. hopefully it will be all i need to get me back on plan.

AAAAAAAAAAAARGH! is how i feel right now! lol

Diet: Slimming World
Karen - well done you for losing 24lb, that is a fantastic amount. I think writing a diary is a good idea, putting down on paper (PC) your thoughts, feelings etc makes them very real and easier to deal with. And with everyone here ready to chip in with fantastic advice this time it will be better for you. You sound very determined that this time will not be like the other time you lost the plot, so i am sure you won't and you will get to where you want to be!

Hey you lady. You're feeling like me a few weeks ago, and now thanks to the advice, suggestions and warnings from people on here (yourself included) I am now back on track and quite excited about losing some more weight. One thing that will happen soon and spur you on (Im sure) will be the breaking through from one dress size to the next, because as you said on a previous thread you're still the same dress size as when you started - that will change soon. You'll get there and by acknowledging the 'problem/issue' early you're more likely to avoid it escalating xxxx

i think you're right. just need to get a grip. i'm going on holiday at the end of august and am hoping to have another stone off by then. i have a gorgeous size 22 halter neck maxi dress that i bought last year in the sale. it was too tight around the stomach, as it is now! so my goal is to shift weight for my hols and be able to wear that comfortably.

when i started my thread it was about 3pm and i hadn't eaten all day as i slept in and am still in my bedroom! no wonder i was thinking of eating pies, chocolate and crisps! i've managed to eat a huge bowl of pasta since then....just hope the rest of the day goes as well

thanks lindam - by doing this i hope it will stop me from lying to myself about what i'm eating! i've been ok up until now, but i can feel myself telling me if i have this, that and the other i will be ok - when a few weeks ago it would have been a simple NO!

We too are going on hol at the end of August and I wanna lose another stone by then too. We can do it together! Im aiming to get into all size 16 clothes not just the generous ones that are currently fitting. Im thinking of maybe daring to wear a dress on holiday. Dont wanna buy any holiday clothes yet as they hopefully will be too big by the time I go on holiday! - well fingers crossed they would! The rest of the day will go well Im sure. So are you up for being one stone down by holiday buddies? what date are you going? are you going to Italy did I read somewhere else? xxxxxxx

Also if you do a diary your fingers will be busy writing or typing, instead of eating.....so it should help mentally and physically.....if that makes sense.....it did in my head but reading it i am not so sure...lol

holiday buddies it is! lol

we hope to be going away on 28th August - which is 7 1/2 weeks away ARGH!!! so we'll need to lose an average of 2 lbs a week! ARGH!

i won't beat myself up about it if i don't lose that amount, but i will try my hardest to get it shifted. we are supposed to be going to nice and italy. we'll be based at my fella's nan's apartment in nice and then visit italy and might spend a few nights there too as he has family we can stay with.

we're waiting to hear whether we can stay with his nan - as she broke her shoulder a few months ago. so need to be sure she's ok with us invading her home! if we can't we may just stay in italy with his family.

where are you going? (thinks it's Kos - as i have a photographic memory and knows someone on here has counter on their profile that says Kos)

I too want to lose another stone, before my holiday at end of august, only going to Yorkshire in a caravan though, but if weather nice, then can wear some nice clothes......also want a family portrait done...which I want to feel and look good in as a photo is for life.....

zenabob - you made perfect sense. i think keeping busy in general is what i need to be doing and planning what i'm going to eat for an entire meal instead of waiting and seeing what i fancy! my jobs mentally/emotionally draining so when i get home i just can't be arsed to do anything...and i LOVE sleeping too!

Indeed it is Kos, blokes choice, I wanted to go to Egypt - but think he was frightened they bought me for camels! Should be good though, sea, sand and sunshine - maybe another 's' if hes lucky! We go the week before you. What day do you WI refresh my memory? Oh yeah remember you saying bout his nan - and not speaking much English!! Hope shes feeling better by the time you go xxx

the greek islands are beautiful. i've never been to kos, but i really liked corfu and greek food is lovely too. i'm sure your holiday will be more relaxing - as you won't have your partners nan judging your every move!

I was a Thursday, but have stopped going to class so instead some of us from work are going to get weighed every Friday morning in the staffroom (although this week its Thur night cos Im not in school on Friday morning) So will update then. I think I should have done well this week I do! Yeah I do like the Greek islands, I loved Zante when I went a few years ago with a friend, am looking forward to it. We're going to Scotland in a few weeks though to see boyfs mum and dad as they live up there - I ldo love Scotland too xxx

Withernsea, last week of august until the 30th, I work in parts of Yorkshire too, Sheffield mainly.

As for portrait don't want to wait too long, as soon will no longer be baby and wanted to give them out for Xmas pressie....lol....so no later than early October.....
