    Struggling to eat syns on green days

    I mainly do red days but i try to have 1 or 2 green days each week so i can get a good carb fix.

    However, i really struggle to eat my syns on a green day. I can never manage more than about 4 and i use thouse for dressing and spread.

    Does anyone else get like this?

    i find it with me extra easy do i have to use all my syns up or if i only use 5 a day is it a problem???

    try to have at least 5 syns a day if you can. Perhaps have a glass of orange juice if you can't face more food, that has syns (2.5 per 142ml). I like the salt and vinegar popcorn which is about 2syns per pack too, it's very light so doesn't fill you up!

    What sort of food do you eat when you're on a green day? It's should be relatively easy to include synned ingredients as part of your main meals if you don't feel like snacking. For instance red pesto in a pasta sauce, using olive oil to cook instead of fry light, ricotta cheese in a cheese sauce, dried apricots in a curry, proper bread instead of 'slimming' bread. Tell me what you like eating and I'm sure I can come up with some suggestions.

    Well yesterday i had:

    B - 2x quorn sausage, baked beans, 2 x eggs, 2 x Alpen Light Bars (HEB)

    L - SW Ham and Vegetable Quiche (HEA for the cheese and HEB for the ham), Mullerlight, undressed salad

    D - Quorn Lamb Grills, Ainsley Harriott Cous Cous (1/2 syn), 2 WW yogurts

    Drinks - Coffee x 3, Water x 3 lts

    Snacks - Plum, Apple, Banana, Cherries, tangerine, kiwi, pineapple, melon, strawberries, Thai Mug Shot (1/2 Syn), 1/2 pack of sugar free jelly (1/2 syn)

    I couldnt fit anything else i after all that!!! I was going to have a curly wurly for the sake of using my syns but didnt so only had 1 1/2 all day yesterday whereas i use roughly 12 on red days.

    The thing with syns is you really need to try and use them, I mean it's not the end of the world because you only had 1.5 yesterday, but next Green day plan some syns in if you can. Adapt your meals to include syns

    Madhousemum:

    Try and use between 5-15 syns a day the higher the better, for the simple fact that you have something to switch about if you weight losses slow down

    Well you could have ordinary sausages instead of quorn, put some nuts/sultanas in your salad, have a non-slimming dressing, chicken or lamb instead of your quorn grill, dried apricots in your cous cous, naughty yoghurt, stew some of your fruit and have it with cream/ice cream. Probably not all in the same day but just an example of what's possible. You're not having to fit any more food in but maybe not always choosing the syn-free option.
