Red face Silly question about Crème Fraiche

    Crème Fraiche......what is it?!

I read about it all the time, but don't really know what it's used for

It it just a low fat type cream? For some reason I've always imagined it to be like a natural yogurt sort of thing, but the truth is, I wouldn't even know if it's something you'd put with fruit as a pudding or in a pasta/curry as a sauce!

I just had to ask, because it seems I'm missing out on something here, haha

It's the European equivalent to sour cream but a bit thinner. It has a tangy taste and can be used in sauces and with desserts. There are reduced fat versions available but they are not free so I normally stick to natural yoghurt.

Well said ... I thought it was free at the start of my plan and soon found this is not the case. I use natural yog I find it just as good if not better.
