    Disapointment

I have been really good this week and stayed the same, To say i am gutted is putting it mildly. I've never had big losses and can accept that a pound a week will get me there in the end,but to be really good and not loose just feels aweful

Has anyone else had this problem, and what did you do about it ?

I am considering giving it another week and then maybe giving up,but i love this diet ,love the flexibility and that i'm never hungry but the point is to be loosing weight

I was 500% good last week and lost 1lb. I was so devestated that I didn't stay to class. However, I've done SW on and off for 6 years - because I know it works and I love the flexability and the food! I've had a bad few days food wise because I've felt so low (bad news at home plus not feeling too good) but I'm right back on it and hope I can salvage something - I know that a good week often takes time to 'show' on the scales.

    Mini targets;
    1. Get under 15st - 8lbs to go!
    2. Get 1 stone off - 5.5lbs to go!
    3. Get 1.5stone off - 12.5lbs to go!
    4. and the rest!

I was the same this week, had stuck to plan, didnt even go out the weekend, which I normally do, and put on a 1lb, it is my star week tho, but not sure if that is the cause, cos I have never put on with star week before always had a loss.

I know it can be disheartning esp when u have stuck to it, but dont give up, like u said u love the diet so why give up, you will be gutted when u put a whole lot more weight on. Its only one, week and next week u never know u might have a good loss to compensate this one. Chin up and good luck!!

I've been doing SW for 6 weeks now and I've lost every week. I know there will come a week whereI don't lose and I'll be feeling just like you do now. I've told myself that no matter what happens I'm getting to my goal. So many people have done it and so can we!!!
I know it's difficult to give 100% and get nothing back.

Try to drink more water, give it a go for a week and see how you progress. Anytime that I feel that I'm bloated or dred WI, I grab my water bottle and it works like a charm!! (I'm probably jinxing myself!!)

Good luck and don't lose heart!!

Hi MomyB grab a tape measure if your brave or piece of string if your not so brave!

Sometimes the scales dont show a loss but the inches/measurements do. This is what I do if I have a result like yours.

NB with the string mark it where you are now so you can check progress, and dont just measure your vitals do arms thighs ankles too.
    Jo jo ;-)

I know it's disappointing but you have to accept it and get on with this week.
I stayed the same often for no reason and only lost more than a pound 3 times, but it all adds up. You need patience
7 stone lost, now at target

We all live by weeks, but honestly why should we? How about if we all weighed ourselves every 23 days!!!

You said you'd been good, which is 7 days you've given your body great healthy food which you should congratulate yourself for.

Don't give up, it WILL work, but us women have hormones to deal with so sometimes the scales don't add up.

If you give up, what are you going to go back to.....

    xxxxxxx

ps I've written the reply to you, but it could have easily been a letter to myself :-)

Lots of good advice here. The reality is that you will have weeks when you sts or even gain, even if you have followed the plan 100%. Trust me, I know! I was completely 100% - could count on one hand the number of days over my 11 month weight loss that I wasn't - but there were still many weeks when I didn't lose. Your body is not a machine - it's not a case of pulling a lever and it performs on command. My advice would be to take satisfaction from other things and not just the number on the scales. Whether it's knowing that you're eating healthily, losing half an inch off your waist, or being able to do 5 minutes more on the treadmill...these victories will see you through the weeks when the scales don't move

All I can add is that I know exactly what you are going through. It happens a lot for me. The only way I can get through it is by thinking positive. If I wasn't sticking with it 100% I would be gaining. I love SW for the same reasons you do, and I'd rather keep doing this diet and finding it relatively easy compared with other plans, than struggling away with something different.

It takes more than a week for weight to be lost. Have you heard people say that they've gotten away with a bad week and still managed to lose at WI...and then had a gain after a good week? Well, that's usually the week before coming to bite them in the bum. 10 days to 2 weeks is more realistic for things to show. Really, that's why consistently good weeks in a row is what usually yields results.

Stick with it. It will work. Keep going!

    x

No way ! Dont you dare give up.... if you've been good the chances are that it'll catch up with you next week and you'll have a surprisingly bigger loss than normal. There are loads of reasons why you could stay the same, *week to mention one !!

Losing weight isnt the only reason to stick with SW, its healthy too.... its not just about the losing weight, but about being healthy and feeling good too

Chin up and stick with it x
