    Body Fat Percentage

Does anyone else know their body fat percentage?? I have started to try to think about the other numbers and not just the scales and therefore, I measured my bf!

    36.5%!!!!

I was a little shocked but I an sure when I started it was over 45%! so pleased about that!

For my age a healthy body fat %age is between 21% and 33%. so I think this is something I an going to work towards.

Anyone else want to share theirs??

I watched that embarrassing fat bodies program the other night, they said that as long as the body fat % is below 35 you are doing ok, and you are so close to that!

oo just did mine, 35.3% Thank you for this thread, wouldn't have check otherwise. Probably doesn't count as a NSV victory as it is sort of to do with weight (I guess?)

Mine was something like 48% when I had a health check at gym about a month ago!

Started a thread on it then, don't know what it is now and dread to think what it was before I started SW and running!

I am sad to admit that mine was 51% when I first measured it and I'd already lost 2 stone. Now it is just under 40% so although still bad, nowhere near as bad. I don't exercise much though like you - naughty girl me

Has anyone noticed their bone density decreasing too? Mine has gone from 6.9 to 6.6, and I'm a bit concerned about that - I'm eating well and taking plenty excercise.

Your bone density will go down because your bones don't need to be as thick since there's not as much weight to carry around. It doesn't mean they're weaker, it just means they're in proportion. Of course they can get too low, so double check with your doctor/nhs 24 if you're worried xx
