Extra Easy Casseroles

Hello all,

This may seem like a silly question, but I enjoy making lots of casserole/curry type dishes, one pot things etc with chicken usually and plenty of veg. I use fry light and free stock cubes etc.

I was just wondering, as I'm on Extra Easy, do the veggies in my casseroles and things count as part of my 1/3 of the plate? I usually have salad on the side as well, but I just wanted to know if these veggies count as my superfree 1/3? They are cooked without fat but I wasn't sure if there was some sort of rule like the one that applies to fruit.

yes the ingredients inside you dish count towards your 1/3 sf... enjoy :)

Yes Casseroles are great way to get your superfree in - I use a slow cooker, put on first thing in the morning with a couple of potatoes diced into small cubes. during the cooking process the potatoes disintegrate and thicken the 'gravy' (I use a couple of oxo's) so becomes completely free :)
