Extra Easy Is extra easy for everyone?

Hey Guys,

I'm thinking about joining slimming world, the results im hearing back from people are amazing!

I was just wondering if you could tell me whether the extra easy plan works for everyone? The other two seem kind of confusing:confused:

Feedback would be great :D

Thanks,

Mustang;)

It's essentially just healthy eating so there isn't really any reason why it shouldn't work. But some people prefer the other plans because they fit better with their lifestyle. Unless you are a vegetarian you will be started on extra easy anyway so give it at least four weeks and by that time you will have a better understanding of the plan so the red/green ones won't seem so confusing.

Good luck and you won't regret joining SW!

I would say EE is the easiest plan to follow in that you only weigh HEX's so its plain sailing. I'm veggie & my second C told me to follow EE. Personally that works for me as having the extra HEXA & HEXB doesn't help my weightloss.

As said by Patchwork, try EE but give it time, I'm sure you'll get on ok. If you hit a plateau look into the other plans but your C would probably recommend things like upping your Superfree.

Hi mustang! I did EE for 3 months, was losing but not that consistently, so u am now rotating between the three plans each day, red, green, EE, red, green, EE... It's made a big difference and helped me vary my diet more.

Good luck!

I found extra easy was a good place to start - now i'm happy with how that works i've found i feel more confident to have the odd green day. The only difference really seems to be a bit more weighing which i find tricky particularly if you aren't the one cooking or eating out. EE is, well easy, so i would say start with that, get familiar with the rules and then try the others to see if they suit you.

I started on EE 18months ago and had lost 5stone on it, however my losses have stopped and I'm struggling with the EE plan, so I have started doing some red days which seem to be helping. EE is the best way to start and then if your losses slow etc. You could try the other plans available :)

I find extra easy days I fill up too much on non super free foods. My last consultant told me to eat The rest anyway but I wasn't going to over eat just to get some fruit/ veg into me so I stick to green and red cos I know where I am with those.

What do people find they have to weigh more on green/red? Is it not just because you get 2 healthy extras you have to weigh more? Having 2 healthy extras is yum :)
You can alternate days so that if you are going out you could do ex easy and then do green/red for any other combo of days

Its having to weigh meat as a healthy extra that puts me off.. Chicken comes in whatever weight the shop has it in and i live on my own so theres no one to eat the bits i might need to cut off..

Do you have meat like that every day? If not you could do ex easy the days you want meat and greens other days.....or if you like meat daily you could do redf days and not have to weigh the meat :)

In fairness, that what i've been doing! But its why i don't get the original days! I have been trying to use a bit of portion control on the pasta on extra easy days because my idea of what looks about right for one person isn't what it suggests on the side of the packet! But its all part of the sw journey i guess!

I LOVE EE but do original and green days when I want cheese. As PatchworkPuss said it is basically eating good healthy food - you just have to remember your third of superfree foods.

It's a plan for life and not just for weight loss, and as the name suggests - it is extra easy! Good luck x

When I have a green day I don't have any meat. I use my hex a for milk or cheese + b for cheese, bread, cereal or cereal bar.
On a red day I don't have any pot, pasta or rice and again I use hex b for bread + cereal bars etc.

That way I don't have to weigh anything.
If u want meat + Carb every meal then EE is the way to go.

Thats a good way to think about it! I'd twigged that green days were best if i wasn't going to eat meat (not a great meat eater) but i hadn't thought about it the other way - cut out the potato/rice/ pasta which to be honest wouldn't be such a bad idea once in a while!

This is what I am going to try. Do you have a diary so I could see your lunch and dinner ideas please?

Its http://www.minimins.com/silver-members-diary/239063-eating-right-slimbysummer.html
Its on the silver diary section (you need to have 500 posts to view) but going to have it moved back to normal section as few people asking to view it.

Ive been doing more EE recently (as hubby started doing sw at home too) but going to have few more green & red days this week as my digestive system likes them better than EE.

Feel free to look & comment x
