Afternoon

I am in need of some help from all other slimming world go-ers!

I am trying to follow the EE plan however I am not going to class as I just simply can't afford it as I am currently working part-time!

Is there anyone that can help me with new ideas for food.. I don't like salad and sometimes find it hard to make different things to eat!

I will be honest and tell you all i am just after eating a panini & a packet of crisps because I couldn't find any other SW food in the house & grabbed the first thing i thought off.

HELP ME!!! :(

Have you looked in the recipe sub-forum? There are thousands of recipes on there. Also check out people food diaries for ideas.

Slimming World Recipes - Slimming Eats is a good websites as well :)

What kinds of fruit do you like? Nearly all fruit is superfree, so you can fill up on bananas, berries, apples, pineapple etc. That's what I do when I want a snack - usually mix it up with some syn-free yoghurt aswell :)

and mealtimes I like making a lot of stews/soups/curries - basically anything where I can throw different sorts of veggies into a single pot and cook it til it goes completely soft, then cover it in sauce with herbs + spices so that it doesn't feel like I'm just eating a big bowl or plate full of veggies - i find that a lot of things like celery taste MUCH better that way and still end up being filling. I haven't found many veggies yet which I can't eat once they've been cooked to death for nearly an hour :p

oh! and also, i tend to eat loads of eggs and various non-synned quorn things such as quorn turkey slices (its not superfree but free and good for filling you up).. I learned to enjoy eating raw plain tofu as well, but that took a bit of getting used to since its totally tasteless on its own - i usually drown it in some soy sauce to make it taste of something, but theres probably other interesting and synfree ways to make it edible :)

My favourite recipe is smash pizza - oh, and free cheese scones. Google them for basic recipe. Both v easy to make. U can use the cheese scones as a cobbler or shephrds pie topper. I also eat A LOT of curry - especially chickpea and spinach - all you need is a decent curry powder and veggies and beans of ur choice. Sometimes I use quorn cos I'm veggie. Pasta with mushrooms and garlic with quark and a few herbs mixed in is also fabulous. Or use Laughing Cow. I also like pasta with asparagus and peas. And don't forget SW chips/ wedges - can be flavoured with any kind of seasoning - I'm using Cajun at the moment - chips, eggs and mushy peas. Doesn't get much better than that!
