    Hey people!
I used to post all the time and lost a lot of weight on SW in the lead up to my wedding. (I lost 5.5 stone)
After getting married we went on honeymoon (gained half stone) Christmas and new year came and went (gained another half stone) and then I got pregnant (gained 4 stone!!!)

The point of my post is I wonder if anyone else has been through anything similar. My body that only 12 months ago was great is wrecked now and I hate it. I feel frumpy and ugly and overweight.

I'm scared I won't lose the weight again and it seems an impossible mountain to climb. I've made a start on losing but I just wish it was faster,.,,

Sorry to moan but I'm in a grump.

You are not fat, frumpy and definitely not ugly. You have just had a baby your going to feel down at times but you have got the most precious thing that any person who wants/can have has.
Just make sure you get out and about for a walk.Enjoy the mother and baby time and don't fret so much over the odd pound or two.It will come off you have proved before you can do it and you will this time.

Just give yourself time and you need something to aim for.I guess you will be getting baby bear christened so why not make a date for that.

Are you going to go back to work?

Big hugs Elle x Its not impossible to get there again but as you know its not easy. Try not to look at the distant goal and break it down to a more manageable goal and just focus on that, reward yourself when you get there and then do the next bit etc

I feel exactly the same way as you. I lost weight to get married but this was 4 years ago now. Fell pregnant 3 months before the wedding and gained 4 stone. I lost 2 stone of that and then last year fell pregnant again and put on the 2 what I had lost plus an extra stone so here I am 5 stone heavier than 4 years ago. I rejoined SW and have lost 13 lbs in 4 weeks. My weighin is tonight so I'm hoping to get my stone award. We can and WILL do this!

I lost weight for my wedding last year, not as much as you, but a good couple of stone, and combined with the masses of exercise I was doing I felt fantastic, i could get into most size 10 jeans, and I was properly fit. Then I went on honeymoon and gained half a stone, then got pregnant straight after and gained over another 4 stone. After Jacob was born I did not feel good, I felt huge, and everything wobbled instead of being firm. I couldn't get into any of my clothes, and just felt totally bleugh. A couple of weeks after the birth I was still 3 stone after my pre pregnancy weight. I started eating better as soon as I was home from hospital, nothing mega diety, just cut out the bad foods, and lost a couple of stone within the first three months, then the went loss stalled a bit as I started to be a bit more lax about what's was eating, so I rejoined slimming world. Since being back I've lost a further 11 1/2lbs, and am quite close to my initial target weight, though I may reset down if I get there soon. I'm feeling soooo much better about myself, and am back to a size 12, so not too much further to go.

So yes, it can be done! You know the plan works, and have been doing really well. I know it's hard when nothing fits and you just want to be back where you were ASAP, but look at the amazing little squish you made, totally worth it right?

Ellebear you know you can do this!

You were my biggest inspiration on here when I started out as I was the same height and weight as you!

I think our priorities change and life gets so much busier when babies come along!

Try not to get too complacent and think you know it all. Boring cliche, but sometimes back to basics really does work! xx

    Hey hun
dont be hard on yourself, you've had a lot on, wedding, honeymoon,Xmas and a gorgeous new baby.
im there myself but sadly I don't have a baby so I can't blame my weight on being pregnant lol.

I lost over 2 stone for my wedding in 2010 and it's crept back on, I got diagnosed with depression and anxiety last year and I don't think the medication has helped with my weight but here I am now ready to take on that challenge again.

Weve done it once, know it works so we both know we can do it again.
i weigh more now than I've weighed in years but now I'm in the right frame of mind I know I can get back down to my target weight.

Come on Hun chin up xxx

Oh you sound the way I felt after having my baby Ellebear. Admittedly I didn't lose so much weight as you prior to becoming pregnant and looking back I should have been happy at the weight I was. Anyway, hindsight is a great thing. My point is, I gained over 3stone which for me was a lot. I thought after my baby was born I would just put my old clothes back on.....very delusional. I remember tryin to put my previous winter coat on and could get my arm in the sleeve...I cried and cried. In fact I also chopped all my hair off when pregnant so you can only imagine how I felt about my self. Out my comfort zone weight wise and weird funny hair ha ha
It's not a nice feeling I know but now after realising excercise is the key I am gettin there. Admittedly my son is nearly three years old but what I would advise you to do is...on matter how tired you are, how rubbish you feel, how awful you think you look, how messy your house may be or what needs done, get out and walk the little one. Even for 20mins..you will feel so much better. I promise
I would also go back to basics and look at sw as if It's your first day. Makin batch food will also be good with a wee one.
Sorry if I am rambling but I remember how you feel so clearly. I am confident you can do it again x

Aw Ellebear, you will get there all I can do is reiterate what others have posted. Hang on in there, get back to basics, and enjoy your little baby. You have done this once you will do it again, onwards and very much downwards

You are most certainly not alone. A lady rejoined this year, I hadn't met her before but she was so positive it was great, then I found out she lad lose 9 stone previously for her wedding, two more babies later and she was ready to lose the weight again. This time though it was for her. Every week she is so positive even through gain weeks. So inspirational. She says she has done it before so she knows she can do it again. And so can you
