Extra Easy New Member For 2013

Hi :) I am starting slimming world on 1st Jan 2013. I need to lose approx. 3 stone! I have a 5 year old daughter and husband and I am a self employed cake maker/decorator, I have done slimming world before and done it for 2 weeks then quit.. I have tried a lot of diets and quit but this time i am ready for a life change for myself and my family. I really want to be me again.. I used to be a size 8/10 but after having my daughter I went to a size 16/18. im currently a size 14/16 and ive been this size for 4 years, I want to be back in my size 10! any tips or advise maybe even some recipes for a family on extra easy plan would be much appreciated! thank you xxxxxx

I will be adding pics of me now and the size I want to be back to :)

I think the main tip is to go into it with the acceptance that this won't happen over night. SW is a plan for life and about getting into new and healthier cooking and eating habits. (This can be hard in January when people are getting quick losses on slimfast and the like - but just try to remember that they really are less likely to sustain their quick losses). Take things a day /week / pound at a time. Celebrate reaching mini-targets and be kind to yourself so you can enjoy your weight-loss journey and be more likely to get to the big target.

Good luck for your 2013 weight loss.

:D

Hi, I am also starting (again) in the new year. I started on new years eve last year and lost 3 stone by July/August. I found it hard to get back on track after our holiday to France though and in the past 3 months I have sadly put most of it back on. I'm too scared to jump on the scales at the mo so I'm waiting till the day I start. I'd like to lose more than 3 stone this time and get back into my size 12/14 jeans, I'm currently in 16's (just) lol. I will mainly be doing green days with the odd extra easy day thrown in. I love my healthy extras!!

Just wanted to wish you good luck.....we can do it!!!!!!!!!

Hi I'm also starting in Jan after months of starting and giving up. I'm just deciding to do sw or ww.

I've got two boys (4 & 3) and my husband does most the cooking so I need to do the easiest plan to suit my lifestyle. I did sw to get to my goal for my wedding but having trouble with it now, same with ww but need to make the decision ASAP.
Why have you chosen sw? Any phone apps out there to help work out syn values? How easy is ee as I've only done red or green days. As that's the only bit stopping me doing sw as I think it's convenient and hate the idea of looking at food as points but ww have so much to hand......Help!

Hi skyesmammy, im also joining again Friday hopefully for the final time (after going back and forward between SW and WW). The main reason being my cousins used to be quite big girl and theyve lost a laod of weight, now i think im the biggest out of all my cousins and my sis and its quite depressing. Im also into cake decorating and currently studying level 1 in ABC cake decorating in Neath College....are you a professional....Id love to give up work and do that full time.

Ill keep my fingers crossed for you....good luck

I have done we sw and cbridge also slim fast and rosemary conaly .. By far sw and ww were most sustainable long term I've gone back and forth between the two bit sw is defiantly the plan for life and the best it's just healthy cooking style and treats in moderation .. I love it so much I've easily stopped on plan over Xmas and since June have gone from a size 18 after having my daughter to a 12 :)

Im rejoining too next week, I went to class before but I dont think it was the class for me so Im trying a differant class hoping I'll feel more comfortable and more motivated!
