    New books/packs

My husband and I are doing SW from home and we have the 2012 packs.

When anyone gets their new packs (I know some people have WI tomorrow) could someone let me know if there are any significant changes to plan - I know red/green now has its own book and success express is now discussed - but I'm thinking more of actual changes to the plan.

If so I'll go along to a group for one week to get the new books, but if there's no real changes we'll keep trogging on with our 2012 pack as I'd actually have to book holiday off work to attend any classes and I don't have any accrued for the year yet....

I go to weigh in tomorrow, I'll let you know if there's a massive change. I know that there's now gonna be nuts into the b choices on extra easy, so that'll be one change! And I've seen that the 1/3 super free rule is gonna apply to red and green as a general rule. I'll see if theres more changes x

It tells you the changes on the Slimming World website. There are a few changes to healthy extras. Also I noticed they seemed to be a bit more lenient on 1/3 superfree.

Our C has told us that the changes are minimal - I think you can now have some nuts as a HEx B choice and that the Extra Easy plan is in a separate book from Red and Green

Basically all very much the same 1/3 SF is encouraged for portion control on all plans ( but not a necessity ! As many have been eating 1/3SF as extra to a meal lol!!)
Also hex B has nuts like on green
Otherwise new packs not a big deal!

I'm starting from home again and have books from 2012 (dec) do you think it's worth getting the new books? Also is it worth getting a food directory can't decide if I need to re-join (subject to my question above) just for one or rely on everyone on here/find an app on my phone/find a formula to working out syn values

Have to say rharboard that I've tried to lose weight with slimming world at home and could lose for a few weeks and then can't keep going. The group (staying to group) and sourcing ideas, thinking about my week and getting to know everyone so that it encourages me to keep on going was so much better for my weightloss. The new book seems better with recipe ideas and plans for breakfast lunch and dinner but also there is loads of info in there to keep u motivated x

It is possible to do from home for some people though. I've done it entirely from home and lost 2st since May.

Well I think for a few days I'll try using the formula of 1 syn for each 20 cals. This is what I've seen on here

Yeah that's it, its encouraged. I don't see the point in eating superfree as extra, if you can't have 1/3 of your plate with it then don't worry about it.
