    Baking day

So me and the OH have a weekend off together and decided to spend it baking lots of sw treats! Prob sounds a bit daft but been on sw around 5 weeks and struggle with my shift patterns and keep healthy eating. I'm hoping to cook some snacks to pick on for easiness and maybe do some meals to freeze away. So was just wondering if anyone has any suggestions on what snacks to make and what meals do you eat that are easy?
I'm really looking forward to my weekend of baking and discovering sw treats

You can't go wrong with makings big batch of bolognaise- either quorn or extra lean mince. Then all you have to do is make some pasta and you're off! I also add some chilli flakes to it sometimes to give it a kick.
Chilli con carne is also great.
In terms of snacks/treats if you search for the 1/2 syn roulade people go mad for it but unfortunately I don't like quark.
Chicken drumsticks marinated and kept in the fridge....awesome free snack
I make up loads of syn free BBq sauce and freeze in little pots to have with carrot and celery sticks

Thanks for those ideas!! I love bolognaise and chilli con carne, just never think about freezing them! Does it still taste e same once defrosted? The roulade sounds lush and I quite like quark! Sounds like it may help for when I get my sugar cravings! My OH is seriously addicted to BBQ sauce so he will have fun making this. Just what I wanted new food ideas as I feel I'm constantly eating the same foods. Thanks

    You're welcome!
I started SW in August and was really grateful for all the support and ideas on here. The BBQ sauce is gorgeous.
Also the tomato soup in the new SW magazine (it's in the comfort food recipe book that came with it) is gorgeous and could be frozen and reheated. Syn free as well!
