    So what's your current incentive and do we always need one?

    Sooooo after losing 4 stone in 2011 to go and see Take That ( the friend I was going with is a twig ) I managed to gain 2 of it last year, as I am ashamed to say, I had nothing really to aim towards.

    Luckily for me my twig friend has asked me to go to London in June to see The pet Shop Boys so again, I ahve something to aim towards.

    Do other people have to have an event to get them into the right mood too? You would think that being slim and healthy would be enough but it's just not enough for me lol.

    When I'm struggling a little with motivation I just remind myself of all the cool clothes I havne't been able to buy over the years and all the ones I can once I drop a couple more dress sizes, it helps keep me on track.
    First goal= Lose 1 stone..16/10/12.
    Lose 2 stone: 20/11/12
    Lose 10% of my starting weight:03/12/12
    Lose 3 stone: 31/12/12
    Lose 4 stone:
    Fit into a size 18:

    I think a lot of it is finding a 'diet' you can stick to.

    After 30+ years of 'dieting' I couldn't be more happier than with what I'm doing now and I think that is because I have found one that doesn't make me crave anything.
    Because I don't eat cakes,sweets,biscuits etc and feel a lot better in myself I'm finding it easier to eat this way.I can still bake cakes etc but I can stop at having one instead of all of them.

    Also because I have got to a size I am happy with I also find it easy to do what I'm doing as I don't want to put it all back on.

    Yep! I definitely need something to work towards... I'm going to see rocky horror at the end of April & although we're not dressing up this time I still want to look good in (hopefully a new pair) skinny jeans & my rocky horror top

    Overall goal is Spain June 2014 which we are hoping to book when new brochures come out April/may time... We went last year & I felt really self conscious the whole time & a holiday to us takes a lot to save for I don't want to go next time feeling the same..

    Yes I do, started S/W this time last yr and lost 2 Stone for a holiday in June, after the hol's I never got back on plan 100%. Rubbish of me.

    Current goal is to lose another 2 stone to do a 10k run in July without feeling my thighs wobbling.

    I think you really got to want it to stick to it and not side track.Like Xmas why did people just eat because it was Xmas.It's not as if you can't work around your 'diet' to still enjoy the foods and drinks.

    I was away and put on a couple of lbs because weather was cr*p so I stayed in most of the time so wasn't getting my daily walk in.Came back Tuesday and the lbs have already gone as I have worked at it over the last few days.

    You can do it if you put your mind to it and learn to say NO.

    Id like to be a size 14 for t in the park, im currently sitting at an 18 so 2 dress sizes in 6 months! Once your all muddy you look a mess anyway lol but last time i went it rained and i out on a poncho and omg i look like a whale! And i was thinner then than now! And i compared it to my first titp (this year will be my 4th time) when i was 11 stone and its a bit depressing!

    I just want my OH to well erm... kinda fancy me again. He tells me he does but how could he when I'm like this!? Nice of him to say so though.

    I also want to go and see my sister in Bedford in April, I refuse to go until I lose weight, I don't wanna go embarrassing myself! I haven't seen her for about 18months and miss her like crazy

    I'm going on holiday at Easter and want to be able to buy all new summer clothes that look nice. I want to take photos of me and my son and put them on Facebook instead of hating them and putting them straight into albums.

    Most of all I want a summer holiday abroad on August and I want to wear a bikini for the first time since having my son 5 years ago. x x x

    I'm happy plodding along and working my way back to my previous target and maybe beyond with not too much pressure for dates and deadlines as I know this is for life now so there is no rush to get to an end which isn't there if that makes any sense? But there are a couple of events this year which I'd like to look reasonable for, mil' s 60th in March and daughters 21st in April eeeeeek!
    Then a way off but in 2014 I will be 40 and would like to look as good as poss for pics and celebrations.

    Nettie im sure your bf means it that he finds you beautiful.. But sometimes i think it takes FEELING sexy to be sexy.. You know? Thats how i feel anyways...
    You should go see your sister though if yous are close...She will love you regardless, ive been everything from a size 8 to an 18 and my sis has been 18- 24 in the past five years and we dont think any different of each other... And then if youmdont see her for another 18 months you can do the wow reveal

    It can be done and no can be said but personally I don't want to as I want to partake in celebrations and occasions with family and friends that sometimes involves alcohol and not the healthiest of food choices but I know that I can't do it all or every time
