Re-starter on slimming world. Anyone with me?

Hi everyone,

I restarted on slimming world this week. Did slimming world before and lost a stone, then Xmas came around and I spent the last 2 months eating the completely wrong things and have now put the weight on. Have a big holiday this year and need to make a change, my weight has been creeping up ever since having my child and want to get healthy and start feeling good about myself again. Aiming for a two stone lost over the next 5 months (would like to lose 6 stone but taking it one step at a time) anyone re starting? How you finding it?

Seem to have been unable to get back on track since my youngest arrived 4 years ago... Feel its about time for a change

I'm returning to Slimming World too, it's my first weigh in on Wednesday and I feel like I've had a pretty good first week (fingers crossed the scales say the same!)

I've done slimming world on and off a few times before, but this time I'm determined to do it. I've got about 5/6 stone to lose in total, at the moment that seems like an impossible amount to lose so I'm going to aim for a stone to start with and go from there.

Set some in between targets which might help you with motivation e.g. 'X'lb by a certain date etc.

Hey, I rejoined last week, managed to lose two stone last time!
Got my first weigh-in on Thursday and am feeling quite positive (fingers crossed!)

This pretty much sums me up, i put on alot of weight in my pregnancy i just did all the wrong things im ashamed to admit!! and then it continued to creep up, and now i really need to do something about it!!
 
Really nervous about weigh in tonight, got on my scales at home and they've stayed the same. When I've done SW before I've always had a good loss in the first week. Just hoping my scales at home are wrong. I'll let you know how I get on! xx

Ooh, good luck MissHappy! We can do this… I think there are a lot who would say the same since pregnancy - you go with the flow whilst preggers, then, things shrink a bit while you have a milk feeding baby, BUT then when you move into the weaning phase and it all goes down hill from there!! Leftovers are a nightmare!

Lost half a pound. Was a bit gutted but better than nothing I suppose and hopefully have a better loss next week. Good luck to the rest of you for your weigh ins!
 
Well done Ali, it can be disheartening but a loss of whatever amount is fab.. maintaining is something to be positive about so 1/2 lb is great news, keep it up x
 
Hi everyone im restarting after 18 month off plan and losing just over 2 stone. I also have a big holiday coming up this year so would like to drop another 2 dress sizes before i go as i now can feel my clothes getting tight again. im am unable to get to a group this time or weigh myself so i am going purely on how my clothes feel. really struggling to get fully back on track though.
 
Good luck everyone! I joined a group on Saturday and have been enjoying following the plan. I have done SW a few times and have always been pretty successful....until I stopped doing it! I'm now right back where I started but know exactly where I'm going - 2.5 stone lighter!

A loss is still a loss hun! well done!! Try and stay positive! Did you stick to plan a 100%? it might be a case that you have a bigger loss next week! Sometimes it takes a little while for your body to catch up! remember 1/2 is 1/2lb which is fab!!!!!! x

Yeh I stuck to it 100% and I was really strict with writing everything down. When I got on the scales on Thursday they'd gone down by 2 so I'm hoping I'll have a better loss next week. I've just been round to my mums and I've borrowed one of her slimming world recipe books so I'm going to try making some nice things out of that this week. And I'm going to try and get lots of swimming in.

That sounds just like me. I usually stick to it quite well for a few weeks then things start getting in the way and it goes out the window. Determined to do it this time though. Good luck! x
