Is it time for a change??

    Hi all

I know how slimming worls worksi joined the group before about a year and a half ago and something came up and i couldnt continue. Then last july i done calorie controlling and went feom 14st1lbs to 11st6. Then since xmas i cant seem to get back into it. I have really gone off track :s

Any ideas?? Shall i try something new?? Or would it be silly to change??

Any help would be greatly appreciated thanks xx

I say go for it. Sometimes our bodies need a challenge so why not go back to sw and quit the calorie counting.
i did a few other diets in the past but sw is my favourite and works well for me..

Im glad I tried other plans too so I could compare and see what worked best xxx

Slimming world is great! I love saving my syns up for treats and have worked out a way that makes it not feel like a diet at all! In fact, all I really miss is bread, I still get my cheesy pasta and mince meat... Try not to think of it as a 'diet' and think about the guiltless treats you can have like hot chocolates with whipped cream on top for just 2.5 syns... Bacon galore...

Yes you can have bread every day if you want either as a heb or synned. Nothing is banned, its just some things need to be synned. And as we said, bread is a healthy extra so long as its wholemeal and on the heb list.

But to be fair, a HEB of bread doesn't exactly set the world on fire. Two pathetic slices of wholemeal bread just wouldn't be enough for me!

    Pmsl!!!!
I have to agree with you on this one. Although its nice to still be able to have bread because it's a small thin loaf I find they make the crappest sarnies lol, because everything just falls to bits xxx

Toast your bread ladies before you make a sandwich...makes it a wee bit sturdier I love my wholemeal bread toasted, I'd never eat it 'plain'

sorry its taken so long for me to reply it has been hectic with work since my last post. Done a few 13 hour shifts. Thank you for all your reply. Yes i think it is time for a change then. My weigh in day is friday so i think ill continue with calorie controlling till then, read up as much as i can to get back into it then change. There is loads of support on this forum as well there is hardly anyone on calorie controlling. It will seem strange now not counting calories for everything and not weighing certain things. I have been in hospital a few times also because im not having enough fibre so i think this will help with it. thank you all again.

My thoughts exactly not the same as getting a baguette from Upper Crust or something!

Ouch! Well, I've been loving these Special K Chewy Delight milk choc bars which SW allow us as a Healthy Extra B as they're a source of fibre- great! My bf was like "You can't have them every day, you're on a diet!" nonono, I can have one every day ;D way nicer than wholemeal bread... They feel so naughty, they're like a rice crispie chocolate bar... But I don't even have to count it as syns if it's a HEB! With those guilt free as a fibre source I doubt you'll have problems any more
