There are tons online but the basis for most seem to be:
400 g chickpeas
Half a lemon, juice of
2 minced garlic clove
Half a teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon cumin
2 tablespoons low-fat natural yoghurt
1 to taste water
I'm planning on adding more lemon juice and jalapeños to mine. There are lots of variations but I think it's just experiment until you find you fave![]()
Success! Awesome hummus made and with a third superfree included!
In case anyone wants the recipe I used, here it is:
Basis:
400g tin chickpeas
1 lemon, juice
1 tsp cumin
1-2 tbsp plain natural or greek yogurt
2 cloves garlic, crushed
To flavour:
1 chilli
Jalapeños
Chilli flakes
Salt
Pepper
Fresh corriander
Directions:
Chuck in a blender.
Blend.
Our rule of thumb is 2 or 3 days too!
