    Question?

Will they let me join slimming world while pregnant? I'm absolutely terrified of gaining huge amounts of weight xx
I really cant wait for wee Bub to be born so i can get back to exante and finally getting to my goal weigh of 12 stone.
Most i weighed was 19.07 and my pre pregnancy weight was 14 stone. I'm gonna try my best to keep my weight down as much as possible without dieting. Here goes............

I don't see why they wouldn't. I was still able to I to class in early pregnancy but my husband was moaning about it so I stopped but will definitely go back In may once I've had baby I think all they ask is that you get signed consent from your midwife x

    Congrats on the pregnancy

Hi! A girl I worked with did SW when she was pregnant. I can't remember if the plan changed, she may have got extra of something.

Anyway she was very large to begin with but she went to class every week. One week before she gave birth she was 12lbs less than when she started. Then she gave birth and lost more weight. I think in total from the start of pregnancy to 3 weeks after birth she lost 2 and a half stone.

Obviously she was a big lady and I don't think it was unhealthy to lose that much weight. I guess most people need to gain weight during pregnancy
But SW can help control that. It also teaches you the right foods to eat and cuts most processed food out. So will be healthy for you and baby.

    Congratulations btw!
    And Good Luck!

You can - you have to get something signed by your midwife I believe but subject to that it's a yes.

I'm hoping to follow SW once I'm pregnant, it's one of the reasons I picked it over WW!

Due to government recommendation (which slimming world have to follow), you are encouraged to maintain your weight during pregnancy rather than lose weight. However if you are given written permission from your midwife then you carry on the plan as normal. No extras. Consultants obviously just have to cover their own backs, so that why they want consent x

Yeah that's if you are trying to maintain your weight. Same for targets, but if you are given the go ahead to try and lose weight the plan is exactly the same. It's down to the midwife though as like I said, SW have to follow govt that suggest women maintain

No even if you're trying to lose you still get the extras. It's in the official SW pregnancy leaflet.
