Thread: Flexible syns

    Question Flexible syns

    I dont get this flexi syns. In group it seems that you can have as many syns as you want eg 60 or 100 then just start again the next day there seems to be no limit to how much or how many isn't that just not doing the plan then starting again the next day? I've asked a couple of times but can't get my head round how it works and don't want to keep asking could any one throw any light on it for me

    Goal Weight: 10st0lb
    Goal Date: As long as I get there I'll be happy!


    BMI Information:
    Start BMI: 33.3
    Current BMI: 27.1
    Goal BMI: 22.6


    Statistics:
    Total Weight Loss: 2st10.5lb
    Weight to Lose: 2st0lb
    % Lost 18.64%
    Flexi Synning is where you plan your Syns in advance.

    Say you are going out for a meal, perhaps, and you know that 15 Syns won't be enough, you would set yourself a Syns limit depending on how many you think you would realistically need. It may be 20, 75, 103...it's dependent on you.

    Then when you go out for your meal, you count up the Syns as you eat/drink them, and once you reach your limit you stop. For the rest of that week you get back on plan as normal.

    Flexi-Synning wont necessarily guarantee a loss that week, but what it does guarantee is that you stay in control of things.

    Flexi-Synning is not having a binge, eating a whole load of junk and then saying "oh it's okay, I'll class it as a Flexi-Syn day". That is simply being off plan - don't confuse the two.

    The two threads that WT posted might help to explain things a little more.
