To Syn or not to Syn?

Just started the slimming world diet in the last few weeks and to be honest I am eating my full lot of syns daily. My husband who is also on the plan is not a chocolate fiend like me so is not having many syns at all.
Is it beneficial to have all or none or sometimes just some?
Most of the food we eat is healthy extras or super/free food.
We have both lost weight both weeks but he is losing quicker than me but has a lot more to lose.
I don't want to stop my coffee's/mini chocolates if I really don't have to!!
    Any advice appreciated :-)

Your syns are an important part of the plan-but they don't have to be used on chocolates-your husband can use them on anything-extra bread/cheese/beer/sauces anything really well done so far x

I think the advice is to eat all/most of your syns to start with as it isn't beneficial to have less, but gives you something to reduce when your weight loss 'plateaus' later when you are nearer your goal (I think then people cut their syns to 5 a day or so)! Apparently if you skip out on syns or have less than 5 a day it actually can slow down your weight loss- not quite sure how though! Apparently to do with metabolism if you're eating very few syns.

I think the idea of syns is to keep you happy so that you don't suddenly binge and cave and decide to give up- syns keep you sweet! So enjoy them don't limit yourself, we can have 15 guilt-free a day so have every last one if you want/need!
