    Question Slimming world advice please!

Hi everyone, I'm in need of some advice!

I started slimming world 5 weeks ago (1st of Jan) but am findong my weight loss extremently slow. My starting weight was 10st 6lb and I'm currently 10st 1lb. I'm losing around a pound a week (just), however everyone else I've spoken to regarding this has said that weight loss is much more than when the diet is first started. As I'm doing it alone as I dont feel the groups are for me I'm just wanting toclarify that I'm doing it right please!

    Here is what I've been eating;

Breakfast; Normally fruit and fibre with semi-skimmed milk (HE A and B)

Lunches; Home made veg soup or
Salad with egg or mackeral (balsamic vinegar dressing) or
poached egg with beans and salad.

    Fruit and natural yoghurt

Mains; Chilli made with quorn and wholegrain rice
Prawn stir fry with chilli and garlic
Meat (lean) either chicken, gammon or pork with veg and jacket potatoe or home made wedges (fry-light used)
    Veg risotto

Fruit or Jelly pot (10 calorie one)

    Snacks: babybel
    more fruit

Drinks: one cup of tea a day with sweetener
    sugar free cordial
    diet coke
    mainly water

I am bad at eating the same things at lunch everyday when at work and generally I've not been having too many syns as I've already been eating more than normal as previously ate quite healthy the main differences have been not using bought sauces, not having bought oven chips etc. I've been having around 4 syns a day (babybel and a teaspoon of honey). The most syns I've had has been 10 as I had a large glass of wine).

I've read that its important to eat the syns however this would be more than I normally eat and I've been finding it difficult to use syns without having something really naughty!

I exercise 5 times a week (Various Jillian Michaels DVD's but have been doing this for some time so this is not new) I have an active job and normally walk my dog for an hour at least 4 times a week?

Am I being unrealistic with weight loss goals? Is 1lb a week good?

Any advice would be greatly received! Many Thanks

Hi there and good luck with your SW journey. Everyone loses at different rates, some are slow losers ie 1 to 2 lbs a week, never big losses, others have bigger losses and then slow down. IT may help if you keep a diary on here and then people can help/advise you if you need it. You seem to be quite active, Id say make sure you have your 1/3 superfree (where realistic) with all your meals. Make sure you have your A and B choices every day as they are important, a lot of people use between 5 - 10 syns a day, it depends on the person. Dont be disheartened as if your following the plan it does work.

You cant compare yourself to other people as were all different. Just keep at it and the losses will come.
