    Lunch on weigh in day

    First week is nearly over and my first wi is tomorrow at 5.30 I just wondered what everyone has for lunch on wi day as I don't want to eat to much and weigh more .

    Ideas please people xxx

    Personally, I just eat and drink as normal on WI day. I don't weigh in until 7.30 in the evening and it never occurred to me to change/restrict what I eat. I even eat my evening meal straight before I WI as I'd be beyond starving if I waited until afterwards. I've had losses every week so I doubt the 'heaviness' of the food I've eaten on WI day has had much of an effect... I wear the same type of clothes and use the bathroom beforehand but that's it!

    No point starving yourself every week just to see a lb or 2 extra on the scales. I'm weighing in tomorrow and plan on having chilli and salad for lunch

    This is my first wi and as I go straight from work I normally have a jacket pot but was thinking maybe a salad.

    Did you not weigh last week? you said its nearly the end of your first week....
    have a salad if you think it will fill you, but honestly a jacket won't make much different, I got into the habit of having fruit salad for breakfast and salad for lunch before WI but one day I was very hungry so had a jacket with my salad, thinking I'd maintain or gain and I still lost that week. Personally I suggest just eating what you want on WI day, if you start worrying about that now it could become very obsessive (speaking from experience here)

    I agree with this. If you eat normally on every WI day then your losses will be consistent. If you just have salad for lunch tomorrow then you're going to feel you 'have' to have that every WI day, week in, week out. The reality is, if you've stuck to the plan, the scale should show a loss. If you really want a salad for lunch tomorrow then have it but if you want something a bit more filling...then have that!

    Well as it was my first weigh on I ate what I wanted really all day lol

    I'm super good on WI day. I have some fruit (usually mango or melon) for breakfast with a yogurt. And then a couple of Ryvita for lunch with homemade vegetable soup. I also take it relatively easy on my fluid intake.

    It's different strokes for different folks I guess but I'm happy to be really strict that day in order to get the best result possible on the scales that evening!

    Lose 1/2 st - done! 13.02.13
    Lose 1 st
    Lose 1 st 7lbs
    Get into the 1's......i.e. 199lbs, (which is 14 st 3 lbs)
    Get into the 13 st
    Get to 13 st 7lbs
    Get into the 12 st

    i agree i dont change what i eat - still have pasta salad or soup for lunch on WI day. I dont weigh in til 7pm on a thurs but am on social team so am usually there 6:30pm-8:45 so i eat when i get home. Have done since day 1 so dont want to change it now! just my way of doing it though!

    the only difference i do on WI day - is not drink as much fluids as i normally would.

    i am a 4litre water a day plus normally, but on WI try have no more than 2litres.

    im not sure what to do as i weigh 4-5 lbs heavier in afternoon than morning ???? but last week was my first weigh in and i was on long hifts so didnt eat all dayday and lost
