    Slimming World Newbie

    Hi Everyone,

    I joined slimming world last week and 1 week in I've lost 2lbs. I was a little disappointed with myself as the other newbies had lost more than me but I'm determined not to be disheartened.

    I'm finding it difficult to get my 5 syns a day into my diet but I'm working on it! Has anyone got any tips about things they've added to make sure they get 5-15 syns per day?

    what would you normally enjoy thats a bit 'naughty'? chocolate? wine? crisps?

    if you don;t fancy anything like that you could have more bread or cheese, use oil to cook with

    most of all don't compare your weight loss journey with other people, we all lose weight a different rates, have different lifestyles, different tastes
    for example it took me 15 months to lose 2.5 stone, my sister took 6 months to lose 3 stone

    just trust the plan,

    I wouldn't worry, I lost 1 and a half my first week, and 2 and a half my second week, and stepped on yesterday and I'd lost another 4. The more steady your weight loss the easier people find it to keep it off! Remember, it's goin in the right direction x stick with it xxxx if you fancy a buddy, I'd love to talk with you as we are at about the same stage

    I agree with this!
    When i first started my first attempt of slimming world; I was losing 3/4lbs a week.
    A stopped going and bam the weight piled on quicker than you could say syn free

    Keep going; your doing well think of you goal =]
    It's not a diet, it's a lifestyle choice

    I lost 3lb at my WI on Monday for my first week and I was please but disappointed at the same time! The other newbies id spoken to the week before had lost 4 plus but it took me a while to get into the plan.

    Our consultant says the syns are between 5 and 15, not 0 and 15, so its an excuse to have that cheeky choccy or extra slice of toast :-)

    Good luck and stick with it, I intend to :-)
