    freezing pasta

    Morning,having a batch cooking day and would like to know if I cook pasta in a bolognaise bake is it alright to freeze?

    I've never done it myself but I've just looked it up online and the general consensus seems to be that it's fine. I'll be interested to hear how you get on with it.

    Mini Goals
    1. Lose ½st DONE 10/01/13
    2. Get into the 12's - stones that is, not clothes unfortunately! DONE 10/01/13
    3. Lose 1st DONE 06/02/13
    4. Club 10 DONE 27/02/13
    5. Lose 1½st (BMI will be under 30 ) DONE 26/03/13

    6. Into the 11's DONE 26/03/13
    7. Lose 2st DONE 07/05/13
    8. Lose 2½st
    9. Into the 10's

    Yeah I've frozen a pasta bake before that I had cooked. Just microwave it and keep checking it until it's hot all the way through.

    Total Weight Loss: 9st0.5lb
    Weight to Lose: 0st2.5lb
    % Lost 42.74%
    I find that it can go a little soggy when reheating so if i was cooking just for the purposes of freezing it i would not cook the pasta for the whole cooking time, i would leave it more al dente. That might save it from going soggy. Maybe. I only ever freeze leftovers which have been fully cooked.

    I made pasta bol bake,chickpea and pot curry,mixed bean chilli all now in the freezer :-)

    Thats what I find too when I reheat frozen leftovers - still nice enough to eat though
