Question about jars of sauces

So I calculated that the pasta bake sauce I wanted to use was 25.5 syns for a 500g jar. Assuming I use the whole jar but eat a quarter of the meal does that mean I just count a quarter of the total syns? I hate veg unless its in a pasta bake and I overload the veg in there with pasta and want to use this as a green day.

Also am not breastfeeding but am exclusively pumping which is the same thing really but not as many times a day as a newborn would eat so how would I work out how many extra he i can have?

Hi Bubblesmom.
Welcome to SW & this forum.
Yes if you eat only a quarter of the meal then you can quarter the amount of the syns, better still make your own, it's a lot better & lower in syns, there are lots of recipes on here.
On the second question, I would ask your consultant as they have info for new mothers.

I'm not good with veg either but tonight I have done a tomato, mushroom, garlic, and onion sauce with passata, worcestershire sauce, tom puree and will pour this over linguine. Only took 10 mins to make, I used tinned toms. And its so tasty. I also do an arriabiata one with chillies, toms, onions. Gorgeous and so quick. And of course totally syn free :)
