Re-joining Slimming World

Hi all,

I'm new to the site and due to restart Slimming World again on Tuesday, following approx. 6 months out of the game.
Last time on the plan I lost 1st 5lbs and was really impressed with the plan. Especially as I lost 5.5lbs in the first week!!
I decided once I had reached 10stone that I would be happy to do the plan alone, at home, of my own accord and I did lose a few lbs on the plan and maintained well.
However, after 6 weeks in America eating just American food I put on 6lbs and was hovering around the 10st3lbs mark.
With my new work routine meaning my meals have sorta gone out of the window I decided it would be time to go back to Slimming World and found a new group in the area and I'm due to start next Tues (which is also my birthday!)

Is there any advice for someone who's returning? Any bad habits I should put behind me?

Also, I'm currently living at home with my parents and my mum used to be a chef so likes to cook dinners. How can I ensure that these are slimming world friendly without offending her or being difficult?

Welcome back!

Well done on your maintenance. As for your mum I would just ask that she uses fry-light instead of oil, it's not that you don't appreciate her cooking, you just want to be able to eat it with out worrying so much, same with extra lean mince etc. And remember you superfree!
