Do you eat the day of your weigh in?

I never used to, because I wanted the weight to be as accurate as possible but I couldn't stand the hunger pains through the day and the day would go sooo s l o w l y :( :(

But I'm back at slimming world now :) And my first weigh in is Wednesday and I don't know if I should eat or what? :confused:
 
If you have eaten before your first weigh in,surely it wouldn't make any difference if you eat before every weigh in from then on.
start as you mean to go on! You don't want to be hungry all day x
 
I'm lucky my weigh in is at 9.30am, i usually have something before i go, usually a muller light or a hifi bar, as long as you eat roughly the same thing every week you can't go wrong with that :) xx
 
My weigh in is at 10am so I usually have my breakfast of 2 Hi Fi bars at group, after I've been on the scales. If I was an evening weigher I'd definitely eat during the day, no point starving yourself. So long as you do the same every week it won't make any difference.
 
I used to starve myself on weigh day too, and it honestly just led me to bingeing on crap afterwards. I get weighed at 5pm on a Tuesday so I would have nothing to eat all day until then, only drinks. Then after weigh in I'd go to the chippy and get chips, jumbo battered sausage, curry sauce and scraps. I'd put the scraps between two slices of buttered white bread and demolish the lot. I'd then go on a sweet rampage and eat maybe a large bar of cadbury creations chocolate, a peanut butter kit kat chunky and a packet of those millions sweets. All washed down with 2 bottles of pink lemonade lucozade - you get the picture. It's safe to say I felt very sick afterwards and very often wondered why I didn't end up with a good result the following week.

I've now changed all of that. I now eat 2 weetabix with milk for my breakast and a banana for lunch on Tuesdays. Fair enough it might not be a lot, but it keeps me satisfied until class, when after I've been weighed I might have another piece of fruit and a cup of tea to tide me over. I still get my takeaway after class too, although I have swapped to a lower Synned Indian takeaway, measured and Synned acurately. I've been doing this for the last fortnight and lost 3.5lb two weeks ago and 4lb last week.
 
I agree with everyone who mentions it's no good to starve yourself for anything. That's not what the plan is all about - it's about making good choices daily. I eat normal meals & snacks on weigh in day - treat it like any other day :)
 
I'm used to weighing in naked after my first wee of the morning so starving myself before weigh in did occur to me! But I don't. Doubt it makes much difference, particularly if you start off doing one thing.
 
Surely this goes against the point of sw? I understand having less syns before your wi but not to eat until an evening wi is just nuts.
 
I used to do this. But as long as you eat roughly the same each weigh in day the results will be accurate. And tbh even if you pigged out before weigh in (on free foods of course!) then it might affect your weigh in that day simply because of the amount of food in your body but will even out over the weeks.
 
I wouldnt be able to not eat all day. By lunch I would pass out. My group starts at 10am. I normally have a hi-fi bar or toast before going to group. :D
 
When I used to weigh at an evening class this used to drive me crazy and cause me to binge after eating not much at all on weigh day...thats y I decided to weigh at a morning class which is much better for me and I don't binge after weigh in because I havent deprived myself before getting weighed. I have my brakfast at qroup after weigh in which is usually fruit, a slimming dipped in a cuppa yum :)

Going for a whole day without food once a week is not a good thing at all. Hunger pains? That's your body having a hissy fit!!
 
i have a good hearty breakfast and fruit for dinner then i dont eat till after my WI at 7pm then i attack a hi-fi bar during Consultant chat and have tea when i get home, but i know some ppl at my group starve themselves all day and dont drink from 12pm til after WI.
 
My wi in 7.30pm no way could I starve myself all day. I eat normally through out the day but I do watch my portion sizes and try and keep things 'light' for example I have porridge for breakie with fruit mugshot and fruit for lunch and maybe just a ryvita with cheese or a alpen light for a snack and a normal dinner around 4.30-5pm. I drink 2 pints of water on the day but nothing after 2pm till I have weighed. I also go for a wee about 3 times before getting weighed to squeeze any last bit out lol. I have done this since week 1 and I have consistent loses so I don't see the point in starving all day long as I'm not sure it would actually help
 
I used to do this upto a few weeks ago when I was sick of being so hungry and feeling dizzy at image therapy and then binging when I got home as I was so hungry and eating what I wasn't meant to be having and defiantly not counting the syns of it!
 
Start as you mean to go on.

When at target i doubt you will be not eating all day once a week!

Not eating on weigh day only spirals into a weekly starving cycle. x
